“Great value - friendly staff”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

I'm finishing up a 3 week stay at the Melody Hotel, and have been very happy with my stay. Pluses: Front desk staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, speak excellent English, and seen genuinely concerned with their guests' satisfaction; quirky decorating touches like the bathroom ducks and the great coffee mugs at breakfast (I'm going to buy one as a souvenir); location - just across HaYarkon from the beach and Independence Park, also an easy walk from the new Tel Aviv Port (shops and restaurants); free wifi; very good breakfast; nice light happy hour in the evenings. Minuses: Rooms are a bit small -- comfortable, but small; rooms aren't great for working -- my keister is killing me from sitting on the plastic desk chair they provide; mattress was a bit soft; as others have noted a noisy location, but maybe a higher floor would have helped (I was on floor 2); the rooftop terrace would be nicer if they weren't always blaring Euro-lounge music and if smoking were prohibited up there (I know, that's a very American point of view). Overall though I have been very happy and would certainly stay here again.

The hotel staff are very helpful, they answered all our needs as for buses and the best way to get to where ever we wanted in Tel-Aviv.
The room was clean and although on the main street, when we closed the window we had the quiet we needed.
the see few is beautiful.

We arrived at the hotel at around 7pm, where we were greeted lovely by Anastasia with a welcome drink and chocolates. The entrance and reception is just as the website and pictures were. Clean, modern and inviting. We were given our room and up we went, no hassel.

The room was just perfect for our stay. Not too big and not too small. The bathroom had the signature ducks on the side which made me giggle and the presentation, decor and cleanliness was of the utmost higest of standards. With a large flat screen TV and DVD Player and the desk tidy with all the basic stationery which you may require on your business stay. Complimentary water and lovely white clean towels.

We unpacked quickly, had quick shower and headed down the stairs for the FREE happy hours (5-8pm) Sunday - Thursday. With nibbles, crudities, dips, pizza, tea, coffee, juice and wine. All courtesy of the hotel. The staff were quick to clean up and replenish all empties. All very smart in appearance and polite in manner.

Breakfast was just perfect. A choice of Porridge, scrambled egg, boiled egg, pastries with mushrooms and vegetables inside them and egg and tinned tomatoes cooked together in the one pan (a bit like poached eggs but just in tinned tomatoes) lovely. The salad bar was endless with fish, salmon, tuna, cheeses, etc. A bread bar with a minimum of 3 breads each morning and 4 different cereals to choose from as well as crossiants/pain au chocolat. Dilute juices, choice of various coffees and teas,

The reason for our trip was to celebrate my 40th Birthday on the 17th May 2013, the staff were so obliging and accommodating. They have a wealth of knowledge of the restaurants in the local area and are more than willing to help, advise and book anything which you may require while you are staying at the Melody. On the Sunday evening Amit arranged for a complimentary cheesecake with a sparkler candle from the hotel for my birthday to be brought out to me once we'd finished our meal at the Fortuna Del Mar Restaurant which they suggested to us earlier that evening for dinner.

I would book all your trips via the hotel and also your return taxi to the airport via the hotel. You will get value for money.

All the staff at the hotel were amazing. They could not have been nicer and they look after you like you are a member of their family. We will most definately go back to Israel and stay at this hotel. It is so central for anywhere in Tel Aviv and most definately value for money. A big thank you to all the the Melody Hotel for making my 40th Birthday a very memorable time.

**Do not pre-book your taxi before flying to Israel. Go to the Taxi rank at the airport and ask the driver to put the meter on. It will only cost you between 135-150 shekles which is half the price of pre-booking it before you fly.

Room Tip: We were in room 301, which isn't on the front but just around the side. If you are a light slee...

I have been traveling to Israel for over 30 years and have always stayed at the more popular large hotel chains. My first time at the Melody for a family vacation. Fabulous staff and management, they treat you like family. Very warm atmosphere, beautiful rooftop for lounging and a location that can't be beat if you want to experience some fun in Tel Aviv! Highly recommended.

This boutique hotel, near the beach, is home for many business people, but tourists are also frequent visitors. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and all the important facilities are there and free of charge (WiFI, Computer use, iPad, Laptop), If you go to the beach they provide you with beach bag containing towels and water. The breakfast buffet is scrumptious and in the afternoon there is a complimentary choice of drinks (including wine) and little snacks.
For us it was the fifth time to come back and we always feel very welcomed in our "home, away from home" !

Room Tip: the junior suite is very nice and enough space, there are also somewhat larger standard rooms. Ask...

since discovering the Melody a few years ago, it is now our hotel of choice when we need a get-away from Jerusalem. Charming, homey atmosphere, spotlessly clean and well-maintained, helpful staff, all the room amenities one could really need and then some, a short walk through a beautiful public garden to the beach, and on top of it all, a beautiful and comfortable roof-top deck with an amazing view. Ideal for couples and for business trips, but please don't come here with young, noisy children- you'd spoil it for the rest of us!

Room Tip: front rooms have sea view but are slightly smaller and the low floors could be a little close to tra...

I recommend a stay at this hotel.

The location and service of the staff cannot be beat. The complementary host/advisors gave us great tips for local restaurants and the front desk crew were very responsive. They were very accommodating to permit our use of a guest shower before our 0030 flight out of town!

All of the rooms are facing the Mediterranean and the windows open to let in the fresh breeze!

Only issue was that the street below is a bit noisy, but this must be expected as it is THE main thoroughfare for the beach.

While we did not take advantage of the free bike use, we enjoyed the breakfast and happy hours (all nights but Sabbath/Shibat)

My partner and I are in our 40s...found that there were some our age, but we were the youngest.

Room Tip: We had rooms on the 4th floor and the seventh. We did not notice too big of a reduction in street n...
