“Good, but much better next door @ IHG.”
Reviewed July 16, 2011

The hotel is nice but feels somewhat cold and dated. Though my room looked out over the beach and sea it also was partly a view of the other wing of the hotel and it felt like the big concrete box it is.

Next door at the Intercontinental my room looked out over the sea and it was just gorgeous.
Really, in every way, you are better off spending a little more (as it cost me) at the Intercontinental. The experience there was much better.

Hotel was classified as luxury. It was definately priced like an upscale luxury hotel but was not up to american standard. The rooms are an ok size. King size bed meant 2 small twins pushed together. Don't move around too much or the beds move apart. It was kept really clean. For some reason though they kept forgetting to restock tp so it was a daily call down to the front desk. The shower curtains were REALLY irritating as they kept clinging to your body while shower was on. There are also no fans in the bathroom so if you took a steamy shower shut the door to the bathroom or the whole bedroom would be steamy. I believe all the rooms had ocean views. Lobby was nice with a modern flare. Elevators were a bit off. It would beep when it got to the floor but then a different elevator would open. This happened often. Breakfast was fantastic and was included (never seen a free american breakfast like this). Every day was a different variety and it was stock piled with food. All kinds of food and espresso's to boot. Laundry is SUPER DUPER expensive at the hotel and no coin ops around either. Room service for late night came in a plastic bag. No ice machines and if you wanted ice you pay room service charge. Buy your water outside of the hotel.

Spending close to half of the year in various hotels around Europe I am quite tired of impersonal, sterile and noisy hotels. I was not looking forward to spending another 14 days away from home in "one of those big hotels". That is why I was really pleasantly surprised to find out how cosy, pleasant and personal my experience was in Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv. It seems they have done great job in recent renovation of this hotel especially in the business lounge, gym ... but mainly rooms. I sleep well, enjoy food here and have no problems taking care of my business from peaceful business lounge. Management and hotel staff seems to be able to find right balance between being very friendly and attending to all your needs without being intrusive. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my business colleagues and will be back in near future.

Room Tip: 17-18th floor is highly recommended and worth the extra few dollars.

Just stayed there for two nights.

Mold and mildew in the bathtub, really worn carpet, pretty far from the center of the city, the beach is not as close as the hotel's website makes you believe.

I stayed at room 1720 recently, in one of the numerous business trips to Tel Aviv. Dan has recently renovated the common areas and would probably benefit from providing free internet access to the rooms. None the less, the rooms were clean and the bed welcoming. The aircon was cold and the quiteness was more than adequate to assure a good night rest.

My company usually booked us at Dan Panorama or David Intercon and I always choose Dan Panorama not because it had better facilities or more comfortable rooms but because of the staff, in particular the staff at the Executive Lounge such as Merav and Anna.

After a long day of meetings and discussions, it was very pleasant to come back to the Executive Lounge, get a drink, relax and reflect. The staff at the Executive Lounge were always cheerful and attentive to our needs, bringing much warmth and relaxation to my staff and I. They made the difference.

My wife and her friend were invited to a wedding which I couldnt attend.
Being 2 ladies over 60 and not used to travelling alone they were a bit apprehensive but they had no need to worry. The treatment received at the Dan was excellent. They were greeted at reception when they arrived by Karen, the guest relation officer like old friends.
She continued this relationship throughout their stay.Always asking if everything was ok and if they were happy. The staff around the pool always kept it spotless.
The decor was a bit tired but the help from ALL THE STAFF was second to none
The hotel reception has recently been refurbished so I am sure this will continue througout the rest of the hotel
