“Great stay in friendly hotel in center Tel Aviv”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, great happy hour on the rooftop with good view, very central and my room even had a balcony. Only downside: the rooms are not the biggest and could use some freshening up here and there. On Sunday night there was quite a party going on in the square in front of the hotel, so better be not sensitive to noise or keep the window shut. I was staying in on a short-term booking so it was not a bargain but reasonably priced.

I have been in many countries and can compare. Stayed at Atlas Cinema Hotel (29.07-01.08.2013, room 203) left me a very good impression. Starting from the front desk staff accommodating and ending array of amenities and services. Price / performance ratio - positive. I wanted to stay longer, but the business does not break. Friends, thank you for your hospitality!

Room Tip: Central placement is very suitable. Good wiev from window especially from terrace.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Cinema Hotel. It was central and had great service. We even had parking for our rental car! Best was the sunset hour on the roof terrace with complimentary snacks and drinks. A small balcony would have been great. Thank you, Gaby and Geli from South Africa and Germany

Having never been to Tel Aviv, this place came recommended because of its charm and history of being an old cinema. It's part of the boutique hotel Tel Aviv list.
The rooms are spotless, pretty average size (the standard double), but when you are used to Parisian small, big enough.
The staff if very friendly and helpful, it has a more then decent breakfast buffet.
It's in a very central area, though not immediately the nicest street around, still safe and an easy walk to the beach, Neve Tzekek, Rothchild blvd etc. There is a great breakfast and lunch/coffee place around the corner called Daily Bread.

If you can explore more of Israel, brush up on its history beforehand, and go explore.
It's a unique experience.

Over the past few years, my husband and i, and sometimes our grown children, have enjoyed several weekend 'escapes' to tel aviv at the Melody Hotel. We enjoyed our visits there every time, but decided this time to change the scenery and neighborhood and take a chance on the Cinema Hotel. We were not disappointed. This is a lovely boutique, city hotel with a theme. It is in a great location, spotless and well cared for. We were lucky enough to have a room (very comfortable) with a tiny but adorable balcony overlooking the Agam fountain. Airconditioning was excellent, breakfast very enjoyable (and on shabbat served until 11!). We made use of the free bicycles twice and easily peddaled over to the beach just a five minute ride away. The small and adorable vintage clothing and antiques bazaar in the courtyard in front of the hotel was still under way when we arrived on friday mid-day, and the Dizengoff Center shopping mall, just a five minute walk away, provided plenty of movie choices and shopping for saturday night. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance as well. One thing to note- Even though you can't lower the height of the terrace walls to provide a more spacious-feeling view, the roof top terrace could be rearranged, more plants added, to make more intimate seating spaces. There was live music friday night on the roof top, which was a pleasant addition to the very nice complimentary happy hour. But the roof top terrace at the sister hotel, Center Chic, right across the street, is a prettier place for sitting and relaxing with a good book....The hotel management was very helpful and even allowed us to check out a bit later on sunday so we could take advantage of the great shopping at boutiques on Dizengoff Street.

My husband and I spent 7 nights at the Cinema Hotel located along Kikar Dizengoff, smack dab in the center of this exciting cosmopolitan city. You can walk to just about everything in town-the beach, the Carmel Market, Neve Tzekek, and of course the lovely boutiques and cafes lining Dizengoff Street. We especially enjoyed unwinding during their rooftop happy hour, with its panoramic view of the city. My husband's mother has fond memories of going to the movies when this Bauhaus-inspired building used to be called "The Esther Cinema." Atlas has done a lovely job restoring this landmark.

I recently spent 6 weeks at Cinema hotel and it was a great experience. For starters, it is situated at Dizengoff square which is the heart of Tel Aviv. No place is farther than a 20 minute walk. The splendid Frishman beach is only a 1km away. Location-wise, there are few hotels better than Cinema.

The hotel, which was once a cinema, retains a lot of memorabilia from its past, and the old posters and movie equipment make for a wonderful nostalgic atmosphere. The rooms are a bit small, but unless you plan to spend a lot of time in it, it shouldn't be a cause for worry. Dump your bag there, get out and enjoy Tel Aviv. The service is great, the staff are friendly and the stay was pleasant.

The complimentary breakfast is good, though I wish they would shake up the menu once in a while. All in all, I would highly recommend Hotel Cinema for anyone travelling to Tel Aviv.

Room Tip: There is a bar located beside the hotel, and it can get quite noisy on Thursdays and Fridays if you...
