I stayed for a few days while sightseeing. I was particularly interested in the Bauhaus architecture of TLV so it was great to stay in such a beautifully restored example. The first night I was in a room on the top floor, which was hot as it had absorbed the sun and noisy because I seemed to be under some of the air conditioning machinery. After that I was moved to a room on the second floor, which was a little smaller but did not have those problems and had been decorated in the hotel style and had a balcony, so it was altogether better. The rooms have everything you would need including tea and coffee facilities and some rooms have microwave ovens and some cutlery and crockery.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel, which was relaxed but still efficient and friendly, the breakfast was good and I enjoyed the Happy Hour, as I was travelling on my own, so it gave me a chance to relax and socialise after a long day walking and sightseeing.
The hotel itself was interesting, and I look forward to staying there again.

We have now visited Cinema Ester Hotel Tel Aviv for ten years regularly and we are every year served with at least one new surprise. The beautiful sunroof on the 4th floor offers already for many years from 5 pm to 8 pm drinks and snacks in a rich variety limited for the hotel guests without any cost. And this year we enjoyed an additional entertaiment: life music by an excellent jazz musician, trumpet and solo song, accompanied by recorded background music. We are overwhelmed. There are so many hotels around close to the wonderful beach of Tel Aviv, restaurants and bars for every taste, cinemas with light movies and serious pictures, a shopping centre and small boutiques offering any kind of attractions for tourists, a fleemarket twice a week directly on the Dizengoff Circle, the address of the hotel and nothing of all this can top the atmosphere and the hospitality of this hotel with its highly qualified staff and management.

The hotel is very nice and the camera decor is quite unusual. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as it looked very appetizing, fresh and varied, using local produce. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as they found and returned our things we accidentally left behind. The manager made us welcome like old friends. The room was clean and well laid out. Our only criticism would be that it was a bit small.

The front desk staff were very welcoming and the staff attending the Breakfast Room were exceptional. Our room was always serviced as we would expect. We were very impressed with the Israeli breakfast also the happy hour on the sun roof every afternoon was also very nice. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. This hotel is very central being close to shops and

restaurants and cafes. We are very happy to recommend this hotel.

An airline strike cancelled our flight and we needed a hotel for a night or two. An acquaintance recommended the Cinema and it was wonderful. The accommodations were comfortable, the breakfast was excellent (had all the Israeli breakfast trappings) and they had a wonderful late afternoon happy hour - wine, beer, coffee, tea, snacks - on a rooftop deck. The staff was exceptional, recommending a wonderful place for dinner, assisting in our work with our travel insurance company and in many other ways. The location is truly in the heart of things.

If you are planning to stay at this hotel for one or two nights, you may find it quite adequate. After 12 nights I believe I got the whole picture.
The location is good, 10 minute walk to the beach, plenty of restaurants and shopping around. They offer free bicycles for up to 3 hours, but they were in very poor shape, better off using green rentals or obtaining your own rental.
The hotel did not have "Boutique" feeling at all. The interior by itself did not create the feeling, there were groups of people constantly coming and going and the reception area felt like bus or train station. It appeared that they mostly cater to groups of people that stay for a night or two, mostly older generation travelers.
Breakfast is very good (if included in the price), otherwise quite expensive. Daily Happy Hour on the roof terrace with wine and snacks is a plus.
There is a variety of room arrangements, it depends on your luck, which one you'll get. Some rooms don't have outside windows and feel boxed in, some have small windows with obstructed view, and some have small balconies with a table and chairs (best solution for smokers).
Rooms are smallish with very limited closet space (OK for 1 person).
Most annoying was the Housekeeping performance, as long stay customers were put on back burner, and their rooms got least attention. Number of conversations with the manager achieved short- lived results, then back to poor room cleaning.
Overall, in my opinion, the small size of the hotel and the location is better than the "Monster" hotels on the seaside.

Room Tip: First floor rooms with a balcony appear to be slightly larger, but are dated comparing to other room...

Dear

Thank you for your candid feedback regarding your stay with us. We appreciate you sharing your opinions, guest remarks are very important to us and we hold them in the highest regard. We are happy to hear that you were pleased with our central location, breakfast buffet and free happy hour wine and snacks. Cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us and each room is cleaned every single day between the hours of 7am - 4pm. However please note that as we have nearly 80 rooms in the hotel not every room can be cleaned first thing in the morning and as such there are rooms which are cleaned later in the afternoon. We are sorry if this caused any inconvenience for you but please be aware that if you would like your room to be cleaned earlier in the day simply inform reception and we will gladly meet your request. In addition please be aware that we just received 5 new bikes for our guests to enjoy, and we do hope you will have the chance to use them on your next visit to Israel. We thank you for choosing to stay at the Cinema Hotel.
