The hotel is only 3 stars not 5. Etablishment is 40 years old and does not look like the pictures on the internet. When we were there it was noisy due to alot of construction. Buffet breakfast was not as great as other hotels through out Israel. The front desk is always in a frenzy and there is no Concierge. Pool is small, old and dirty. Health club is small with a few machines. We were very disappointed.
Restaurant on Second floor is never open,we dont get it?. Hotel is in a strange location underpass nextdoor and no side walk.
We would try the intercontinental next time.

Hello everyone,

I was at honeymoon at the "White suite " in Carlton Hotel Tel Aviv that was the most amazing vacation I've ever been! Service was excellent, very luxurious suite, stunning panoramic view of the Jaffa coast, breakfast room came to the room and was very varied and tasty. Highly recommend to stay there, an unforgettable experience!!!!!

We were very happy with the 3 nights we stayed at the Carlton Hotel during a family trip to Israel. The hotel is located right on the beach and our room looked out over the Mediterranean. The staff was very helpful, especially Gal, who spent lots of time sorting out an airline problem we had. The lobby is very hip and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing (best we had in Israel, and that's saying something)--the food, view and staff. We also liked the iced tea at check-in and the plentiful apples around the hotel. They provide towels for the beach, and will deliver milk and cookies at bedtime! There is a pool and an adequate small workout room on the roof. There is a much larger (private) Olympic size pool just a few steps from the hotel that costs for daily entry. You can walk to restaurants along the beach, and I went on a couple of early morning runs to Jaffa. We took taxi's to other destinations because it was too hot for the kids to walk around much. Minor downsides: no free wireless internet; no convenient free place to print airline boarding passes (which is routine at US hotels where I stay). We got a very reasonable room rate, especially compared to alternative hotels in the same area.

Carlton is a solid option. There is nothing outlandishly negative, nor - to its detriment - is there anyting outstandingly positive. Check-in process was smooth and efficient, but they did not go out of their way to explain breakfast locations, the facilities, beach services, etc. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is very good (walking distance to the beach and also many restaurants in the city). $7 + VAT for a bottle of water was a bit of laugh, but otherwise no problem.

A quick recommendation ... if you are going to have chairs on the balcony ... clean them. There was at least a cm of dirt built up.

The Carlton experience was lovely. The hotel is in a great location, right on the beach, and the hotel itself is excellent. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. The food was superb, the service was professional and warm. There is a pool on the roof that is just gorgeous and you get great views of the beach and the entire city of Tel Aviv. You really feel taken care of and pampered in every aspect throughout your entire stay. I highly recommend this luxurious hotel. it's well worth the money.

Since 2002 I visit this Hotel frequently on business trips and I was always fully satisfied! When ever I arrive to the Hotel I feel at home and well received by all the staff. It is rare that one never has to complain about anything. I feel that the staff is a big family helping each other and treating each other with big respect, a feeling the give also to the guest. I will always return to this hotel.

Very helpful with restaurant suggestions and confirmation of pre-arranged transfers. Excellent buffet breakfast that is overwhelming in scope. Fresh squeezed juices daily with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses, salads and other local fare. Very clean. Only criticism for this hotel and the three others at which we stayed, is that the pools all closed at 7 pm. Way too early for 100+ degree weather!
