I travel to Tel-Aviv at least 5 times a year for business and stayed in most of the hotels on the “beach strip”. This was my first time at the Carlton, and it was a nice surprise.
The room I got was freshly renovated, with an ocean view on the “Royal Floor”. It had all the necessities for business travel; which to me means lots of electric outlets, and a high speed and free internet connection. The towels and the room were refreshed twice daily.
The front desk was accommodating and efficient; the valet service for car park was well organized, and the best part was the breakfast. Carlton owns a deck outside the hotel that sits on what I think is a cliff, there is a view of the ocean and the Marina and the breakfast is the best I had in Tel-Aviv. An amazing, tasty selection.
I would definitely ask our travel agent to stay at the Carlton again on my next trip.

I love this location at the north end of the city. Right on the beach it provides great walks both north and south. A 1 mile walk north along the beach and you are at the marina with shops, cafes, and restaurants. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating even when we were guilty of messing up our reservation. Breakfast was delicious with great outdoor seating. The pool is on the roof which was both convenient, quiet and quite beautiful. Expecially at sunset. The rooms were comfortable though the carpets are in need of either a cleaning or replacement. The mini bar seemed like it had not been restocked in quite some time. Overall I was very happy with the hotel and would stay here again.

We stayed here for just over a week with our baby, and everything was wonderful. The staff were so hospitable and helpful - especially where our daughter was concerned, and did everything to make sure that all of us enjoyed our time there.
A particular highlight is the breakfast on the beach, which combines great food with a fantastic view. The staff at breakfast were especially attentive, and Liraz looked after us and our daughter, we were made to feel completely at home.
The room was a good size for us, and had a nice view of the city.
We will certainly be staying at The Carlton when we are next in Tel Aviv.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Israel.

Stayed at the Carlton during Passover Holiday. Location is best in Tel Aviv. Walk out of the door you hit the Beach and Promenade. Renovated rooms very modern design, useful amenities and excellent view of shoreline. Executive lounge well stocked with food, drinks and reading material, very friendly staff and a near 360 panoramic view of both the Mediterranean and Tel Aviv city with its skyscrapers in the background and the white city Bauhaus older houses in the foreground. Same goes for rooftop pool which had the added value of a refreshing breeze.

All staff were very helpful and friendly.

Excellent plentiful Israeli healthy Breakfast in the annex building overlooking the marina.

The lifts were a bit crowded and slow in particular over Shabbat/Jewish holidays. When one of the staff members noticed that i had been waiting to long in the lobby for an available lift I was kindly offered to use one of the two staff elevators.

The main criticism is the Shabbat and Chag buffet food. Not only was it overpriced even for hotel standards, the selection was poor and not of the best quality. on Friday night instead of boiled or roasted potatoes (no rice or beans over Passover!) we were offered a sweet potato puree!!! The meat selection in particular was very limited and not up to five star hotel cuisine of nearby hotels. The buffet should have offered more fish, lamb and chicken.

Good position, if you want stay by the sea, a bit distant from the center or from the restaurants.
Nice terrace with a small outside pool on the roof of the hotel, where is also located a restaurant with a great view over the city. The staff on the reception is attentive and helpful.
The breakfast was fabulous - in a detached building on the beach, there is a selection of simply anything you could wish for. And the anything is fresh and tasty.
Spa & Health club are with extra charge.

However, the rooms are bit small and the housekeeping is not really what you would expect for the prices you are paying: I don't thing it's necessary to change the bed sheets every single day a and towels twice a day (hey, what about the ecology) but I surely do expect the floor will be vacuum-cleaned. Same about dusting. Some days they just forget to leave some towel, some day they left 3 of them.
