We stayed for 4 nights with my friends.
The hotel has a great location, close to everything. Didn't take breakfast, had to pay, but worth it.

Tidy room with an ocean view.
Huge bathroom, comfortable bed.

Recommend the hotel and spa facilities.

Stayed here because it was selected as part of a group tour. Extremely disappointed. The room I finally accepted was the 3rd allocated to me.The first room had a toilet problem. I hadn't even unpacked & tried the bathroom which was flooded due to a leaking toilet. I was then moved to another room where I unpacked & attempted to go out to check the hotel's facilities only to find I couldn't exit the room. The door handle mechanism was jammed & couldn't be fixed. A porter came to let me out with a master key as the door could be opened from the outside. I had to re-pack while the porter watched. He stated he was unable to assist, so I then moved to yet a 3rd room. This was barely adequate as it seems groups are given the lowest standard. I offered to pay extra for a better room but this was refused because of the group's prior arrangements.
The breakfast area was located in a separate building with a view of the ocean. Food was plentiful with a wide variety to accommodate all nationalities, but was only average standard. I would definitely not return.

Room Tip: Try a room with an ocean view.

Dear lokshen. We were very sorry to learn of your disappointment following your recent stay at the Carlton Tel Aviv. The issue with the door mechanism was repaired as soon as it possibly could have been following this fault. Groups are allocated rooms based on what the agent requests for the group, and in the case of your party these were our standard rooms. We were surprised that you were dissatisfied with our breakfast, since a vast majority of our guests regard it as one of the best breakfasts in Israel. At the Carlton Tel Aviv we endeavour to ensure that each and every guest enjoys a wonderful experience when staying with us and apologise that this was not the case with your stay.

STayed for few days. That was my first time. Was really great, since I was out all day long didn't hear the renovation rush.
If you don't wanna go outside - Lobby is a perfect place to spend an evening. Good food, full bar, great atmosphere of home. Staff: Tasha the manager and Lilia are amazing.

Do recommend!

I stayed a weekend on holiday and was disapointed.
Not all rooms are renovated and are average at best, the swimming pool is closed... the breakfast was avarege in Israeli standards.

Right out side the hotel is the dirty atarim area which should be destroyed as soon as possible.
service was ressionable no the possitive side.
price was also o.k in Tel Aviv standards but you can get better value in near by renovated or new hotels.

Cool lobby, great location on the beach, lean rooms, new carpet an bathrooms. Only problem is the tv channels kept freezing, making it impossible to watch. Other than that, great experience and great staff.

The location here can't be beat - right on the beach. It's also the nicest beach area in Tel Aviv. Hotels in Tel Aviv can be very expensive but we got a great deal on this one though a travel website. The entrance and lobby are very elegant. Upstairs I found some evidence that the rooms were ready for updating (not the decor, which was fine - but some wear on the wood/furniture and older fixtures in the bathroom). I think renovations were already underway on other floors, so that may no longer be the case. A nice touch: we were welcomed with fruit and flowers in the room. Breakfast was not included in our room rate, but the brochure we found in the elevator lobby on our floor listed a lower price than the one we were given at the desk. The manager honored that price, which we thought made for great service. We were also thankful that the hotel let us continue using the pool and towels even after we checked out since we had a full day before our midnight flight. Private showers on the pool floor allowed us to leave clean and refreshed for the long ride home. We will definitely look for the Carlton next time we're in Tel Aviv.
