“Superb Hotel on the Beach”
Reviewed July 31, 2011

We stayed in this hotel in the summer of 2010 at the beginning my stay in Israel. The hotel is located right on the beach, near other hotels. The staff were very friendly and seemed genuine in doing so. The room was clean and quiet although somewhat dated; our room featured an usual music player that doubled as a piece of furniture. The view from the balcony was amazing. The beach is easily accessed from the lower level of the hotel, towels can be checked out in the spa / pool area. The breakfast buffet was excellent but we went elsewhere for other meals.

Room Tip: All rooms face the water

The restaurant is fine if it's included in your package. The swimming pool is terrific. The location right on the beach is great though swimming seemed to be discouraged due to jelly fish. The rooms seemed to have been upgraded since our last stay.

We had the pleasure of once more staying at the Renaissance Tel Aviv for two nights in March. Again, we were not disappointed in this hotel, which has such wonderful bed linens, clean rooms, and the Dining Room is one of our favourite places to eat in Israel. We have stayed at this hotel for several years on each visit to Israel, and the quality has remained consistant. From the greeting at the front desk, complete with a refreshing glass of juice, to the meals, clean rooms, easy access to the beach, (which is a big plus) - we always leave, determined that, upon our next visit to Israel, Renaissance will be our first stop. We have no hesitation in recommending this fine hotel.

The Renaissance was a pretty nice place. Definitely worth 25,000 Marriott points, though not sure if it was worth the $275 they were asking others. It was right on Tel Aviv Beach which was great. It couldn’t really have a better location.

Very nice hotel. Good location and easy access to the beach. Rooms were nice and clean. The food was very good! The staff was helpful. The only thing that was unfortuante is that they only have an indoor, and small, pool. Other than the pool I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: rooms are very nice

I have been to this property four times in the last 15 months and it has gotten better on each visit. Big renovation to the lobby area which now done adds a nice finish to the lobby resulting in a nicely done area. Rooms are comfortable. Food is good at any time of the morning or evening. Service staff in lobby and in dinning area are attentive. The biggest wow here is the location. It has a really nice view of the beach and active beach volleyball games are just one of the perks. The sunset from the lobby or on the beach behind the hotel is one of the best I have ever seen anywhere! Not a five star hotel but a very solid 3.5-4.

Room Tip: Go through eaither a travel agent or come in off season

Just another hotel in Tel Aviv, but a pretty expensive one by the sea.
To be short on this, I'll point out the shortcoming :
1. The hotel has no real parking slots. We were guided by the hotel persone to a parking lot that was full, and we were actually looking for one for 2 (!) hours. We eventually parked 1 km from the hotle.
2.The beds were short. I'm 1.92 m and my legs just stuck out. I called reception - they said they don't have longer beds. It totally destroyed my sleep.
3. The security guards were far from nice. Everytime you get in the hotel, they interrogate you like some kind of a hobo, trying to sneak in, and you need to prove you stay there.
4. The food was far from the diversification I was used to in other Israeli hotel.

Therefore, it's just to expensive for what you get.
