Reserved a suite requesting a quiet one on a high floor. Was given first floor suite in front of building with traffic and noise. Upon complaining to Best Western got a response from hotel manager that it was what I requested. Pathetic!

Room Tip: Don't bother as you won't get what you want.

Israel R, General Manager at Best Western Regency Suites, responded to this reviewResponded December 16, 2012

First we wish to thank all guests taking the time to share their opinion on our hotel, this helps us to evaluate and improve our services.

However, this review written by Mr. Pinczewski does not refelct the quality of the hotel or the real facts.

Mr. Pinczewski booked a suite through the Best Western System at our hotel from 30 October 2012 to 1 November 2012 (2 Nights).

Mr. Pinczewski booked one of the 2 Deluxe Junior Suite Type TKD we have at our hotel.

The hotel has allocated 1 Deluxe Junior Suite for Mr. Pinczewski on the 1st floor.

At check-in, Mr. Pinczewski mentioned that he was a BEST WESTERN Member and asked for an upgrade to a different type of suite on a higher floor.

As the hotel was sold out with a 100% occupancy on these dates, Daniel Kuzmenko, who is our Assistant Front Office & Reservations Manager explained to Mr. Pinczewski that the hotel assigned for him the type of suite he originally booked and that there are only 2 suites of this type at the hotel and they are located on the 1st and the 2nd floors..

Daniel was trying hard to explain to Mr. Pinczewski that if the hotel was not fully booked we would have offered an upgrade to a BEST WESTERN REWARDS Member.

Mr. Pinczewski complained about the noise in the the suite he occupied. We only regret that this has not been brought to our attention as all our suites have double glazed windows.

Mr. Pinczewski's review does not reflect the high standard of our hotel. We invite all Tripadvisor readers to read all the reviews posted on Tripadvisor about our hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to read the hotel's reply.

Sincerely,

Israel Angel
Managing Director

Situated close to some really large Hotels the Regency Suites gave me good value for money. I paid a third of the price that some of the nearby Hotels were quoting. The suite, was in fact a suite! I had a kitchenette, with fridge, toaster/mini oven. Plates and all assorted kitchen requirements were provided. A sign in the bathroom read, have you forgotten, toothbrush, shaving gel...... etc etc please contact reception and we will be happy to provide free of charge. The TV channels were poor but I didn't spend that much time with the TV on. A two seater settee and two chairs, dining table with two chairs and a desk with one chair is the furniture in the room. A modern safe deposit box is located in the kitchen. I have rated it very good as I thought the shower in my room wasn't great quality but it worked and the water was hot. Turn right outside the Hotel and walk for 4 minutes and there is a great Italian Restaurant and you will have passed an Irish bar too. Reception organised my taxi back to the airport which cost NIS150, it was early and the driver was excellent. The hotel in my opinion is worth the price, its not 5 star but it is clean and very acceptable in this price range.

Yes, location is great and suites are spacious for a city hotel and are well equipped, but... Competiton is getting better and some other suite hotels nearby offer more for same amount or less. A choice of newspapers in the lobby would be nice (rather than a single copy of the Jerusalem Post), cookies with the available and free coffee/tea would also be welcome and we had the feeling that given it's well-deserved success, management sees no need for improvement. Not the wisest of moves in a city that offers such a wide choice of good hotels. Yes, the staff is friendly, but then again, one hardly expects less. We liked: size of suites, free wifi availability, location. We liked less: absence of double windows, given the noisy area and construction around the hotel.

Room Tip: top floor has suites with balcony and a nice ocean view

My wife and I stayed there for two nights. The price is reasonable, especially compared with other hotels in the area. the suites are large if compared with other hotels around.
It's located across from the beaches, and there are a number of nice restaurants within walking distance. From the hotel you can walk to Carmel Market, Old Jaffa, TLV museum and other places of interest.

The staff is friendly, polite and professional. Daniel/Moshe will help you with taxis, restaurants and tours.

Great location close to the beaches and lots of great restaurants close by. We had a 1 bedroom suits to sleep 3. One of the few places in Israel that we stayed in that had a real queen bed and not 2 singles. Bathroom was a good size. Very clean and comfortable room Free wifi, beachtowels and coffe/tea etc. Front desk staff was very helpful. Underground parking is free but limited spaces available. Would definitely stay there again. All they need is a roof top pool!

Room Tip: Get a room on a higher floor to avoid too much traffic noise. We had the 6th floor and was pretty q...

My wife and I stayed here for six nights in October. We thought the price was quite reasonable, especially compared with other hotels in the area. It's located right across from the beaches on the Mediterranean, and there are a number of nice restaurants within walking distance. If you are adventurous, you can walk to Carmel Market and Old Jaffa as well. Otherwise there are plenty of cabs, and we took the public buses too, which run along Ben Yehuda Street, just one block away.

We had a second floor suite which did not have much of a view, but was clean and comfortable. There was a king size bed, pull out sofa and two flat screen TV's. There was also a small kitchenette with a toaster oven and refrigerator.

The staff was most friendly and accommodating, and made us feel at home. As stated there was free wi fi in the rooms and free coffee in the lobby. There is also a continental breakfast (which was extra at our rate, and costs $12.00). The only minus was that the rooftop deck had been neglected, and the Jaccuzzi was inoperable. However, the sunset into the sea seen from the roof was beautiful. We would be happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Front rooms on the higher floors have the best view.

We stayed twice at this hotel. One night in the beginning of our trip and one night right before leaving for the US. I really like this establishment for several reasons. It is very conveneintly located (just a few steps from the beach across the road); staff is professional, polite, helpful and knowledgeable; rooms are not small, our suite had enough space for three adults; everything in the bathroom was clean, spotless; coffee and tea selection in the lobby (24 hour self-service) of very good quality; free wi-fi in the room; free beach towels. I think it is a very good value for money paid. Underground parking is not the greatest but if you are not driving a Suburban it should not be a problem (at least by the Israeli standards). Besides help is available from the staff member if you need it in the garage. If I go next time to Tel Aviv I'll stay there again.
