Best Western Regency Suites
Ranked #13 of 100 Hotels in Tel Aviv
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed August 10, 2011

Even though previous trip advisor reviews were very positive, I was somewhat skeptical prior to arrival because my experience with small suite hotels in the past left something to be desired. Overall the experience was better than I expected. The room rates provide an excellent value for their location, the room was better than expected and the personnel helpful. Free 24 hr coffee in the lobby, free internet and free parking were an addtional bonuses. The only complaints I have are the the internet service was spotty and when we decided to returnthe following week for additional nights that were not prebooked they raised the rates on us even though we arrived after 8 pm and they gave us a room which was not as good as the first one in which we stayed. We have visited Tel Aviv many times and this was without a doubt the best value.

This is a very safe choice in a very expensive city. The location is ideal (across the street from the best part of the beach) and the rates are reasonable. The rooms are well equiped and very clean. Although one may argue that the lower priced rooms are small compared to North American standards they are more than fine for one or two people. I really liked the extras like a functioning kitchen and non perishable milk for the included coffeee and tea. The walls are a bit thin if the neighbours are making noise but reception is strict with guests that go out of line. I didnt have the breakfast. I suggest Masada cafe wich is 24 hours and has a view of the beach. It is steps away and teh Israeli breakfast is great. Overall, this hotel is a hidden gem for good value at reasoable prices. You are next to other hotels that charge double and offer few extra perks.

Stayed for 6 days, parents and 15 year old daughter. So central, stone's throw to Tel Aviv beach. Room was large, clean and well serviced, quite modern. Highly recommend and wouldn't hesiate to return one day. All staff were very helpful, curteous and obliging at all times.

We stayed for a week in July 2011. A great hotel and location, just minutes from the beach. In walking distance to restaurants and the carmel market. Very clean. Great espresso and cappuccino in the lobby 24/7. small kitchenette that suited us well. The staff were great-very helpful. would like to thank Leah and Dani especially for all their help and advice.

Absolutely best location, fairly quiet, and excellent - helpful staff in every way. Beds/matresses are typical European, meaning a little hard for my liking - espeically true of the sofa bed.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the 2 room suite

For me this is not a hotel, it is an apartment house with a lobby. Location is great for the beach, lots of cafes and small restaurants nearby. McDonalds opposite as well.
They serve breakfast but it is very basic- better go to a cafeteria nearby.
Rooms are spacious, small kitchen, fridge so you could make your own meals. Internet connection is sometimes really slow and not stable.
Room service is OK. Hotel could be renovated, it looks slightly old, bed was very basic, nothing special.
Staff is friendly, just don't let them book a taxi to the airport- they try to cheat on you by booking "special" taxis that overcharge you. There is a taxi queue outside opposite the hotel.
Good for the price, compared to other really more expensive hotels worth the price.

We read the review posted and are surprised that TripAdvisor has agreed to publish this review from a guest who wrote he stayed in July 2010 ( almost a year ago ).
As this review does not reflect the hotel's condition, we wish to comment on the following:
Our hotel is not apartment building with a lobby... We are an All-Suites Hotel that provides more than just a Lobby... even guest mentioned a comment about the breakfast ... We serve breakfast in the Breakfast Room... The fact that guest described our hotel as an apartment building is incorrect and misleading... Maybe the guest was not aware of the All-Suites Hotels' concept. We wish to assure those reading this review that the suites are very clean, the beds are very comfortable and the service is great. We recommend guests to read the other 126 reviews posted to get the proper impression about our hotel. We regret that such reviw was ever published and we hope that the readers of this review would make their own jugement.
Just one more comment about the Taxis... this is a very strong accusation... Taxis run by the meter and are supervised by the Ministry of Transportation... Our team at the Front Desk are providing the service of calling for a taxi for the guest and this is part of their duties.
Thank you for your patience reading this review... Israel Angel, Managing Director

Arrived at the hotel early, but we were assured that the room would be ready by the time we got back. It was.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff who also had time to crack jokes with us. We were upgraded without having to ask to a bigger and better room. Roomy, with a fully equipped kitchen, 2 TVs, and WIFI that actually worked. This was the ONLY hotel we visited in Israel (we stayed at 5) where the WIFI worked consistently, and it was free as was the parking.

The location is one street away from the beach and right acroos from the American Embassy. Although the neighbourhood is busy and, in some parts, run down, there was no noise in the room and we could easily walk to the central spots in tel Aviv.

The price was low, the place is clean, the staff is more than competent AND friendly. Stay there.
