“Good place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

Hotel located in a very good place. It is located right near the sea, but not on the sandy beach area, but near the nice and green beach park. But it is just 5 minutes walk from the beautiful sandy beach. Also it is very close to old Yaffo, just 10 minutes walk via park.
As for hotel itself, I suppose it is one of the best hotels in Tel-Aviv. Personally for me it seems not the best Intercontinental hotel. But I suppose it is the general trend for hotels in Israel, they look not so brilliant, as hotels in Dubai or Singapore. But this hotel is good enough to be called IC.
The staff is well trained.
I would like to write personal thanks to Guest relations girl Natalie, she was very helpful during all our stay and helped us with advices about shops, transportation, excursion etc.

I advice this hotel to everybody who wants to stay in high-class hotel in Tel-Aviv.

Room Tip: I advice to choose the room from 10th floor and upper, because there is a big opened hall on levels...

I will keep this short and accurate:

World Class Service Provided, Doorman are Valet are friendly and informative, Yani Doorman was an excellent employee who provided us with detailed information, Upon check in Idan did a solid job on checking us in quick and answered all our questions. Employees at lobby bar are sociable. We called Engineering one night and arrived within seconds. Our room was on the 9th floor with a balcony Ocean View. I strongly recommend you ask for one of these rooms. Wi-Fi in rooms and hotel is solid. Free Wi-Fi if you’re an IHG Rewards Club Member. Shower items are all Dead Sea products which was nice.

Hotel is located in a perfect location. 10-15 min walk to Jaffa Port and right in front of the board walk where locals are jogging, beach bars, beautiful beach, and steps away from the famous Carmel Market. If you’re visiting for the first time like myself, I RECOMMEND YOU BUY YOUR SOUVENIRS at Carmel Market. Everything is CHEAP and you get to bargain. Dead Sea products, religious artifacts, etc. Free Wi-Fi in Tel Aviv so this was awesome.

We rented a car during our visit, since we didn’t want to reply on public transportation. If public transportation is your thing, the hotel is steps away from a bus station.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

We stayed two nights at the Intercontinental David before meeting up with a tour group. This is very comfortable, upscale hotel from which most of the city is walkable. We walked daily to Jaffa, the White City, Neve Tzedek, the old clocktower, flea market etc. We had an view of the ocean from our room. The room was clean and comfortable. We are Priority Club members and used points for our stay, as a thank you the hotel dropped off an welcome snack with wine, fruit, water and chocolate. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental David! It's also walking distance to Manta Ray Restaurant, which we also recommend.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in an 18th Floor suite at the Intercontinental. The room had a lovely view of the beach and Jaffa but the suite itself was average. However, there were 4 things which made our stay special. (1) The Club room on the 24th floor was recently renovated with a spectacular panoramic view and has an excellent variety of food and drinks. The snack in the late afternoon was excellent with food, potatoes, breads, fruits, desserts and drinks. One could easily eat dinner there and we did on our first night. (2) The location is excellent across from the beach and near Neve Tzedek, Jaffa, the White City and other attractions. (3) The concierges were very knowledgeable and full of good information. (4) The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choices.
It is a large hotel so there is not a boutique feel but the service was excellent overall. I highly recommend spending the extra money to access the Club floor.

Room Tip: A higher floor is recommended as there are both great city views and ocean views available depending...

I hope that the room I stayed in wasn't yet renovated because it was tatty looking and boring! The only good thing about it was the view. Internet in the room is expensive and iffy. The breakfast buffet was nice but as others have noted ask for your beverage before you get your food. Better yet, stop at the cappuccino bar right when you walk in and get it yourself. Location is not bad, you can walk along the sea and get to Jaffa in about fifteen minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for one that is renovated.
