InterContinental David Tel Aviv
Ranked #51 of 100 Hotels in Tel Aviv
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed August 5, 2013

On a recent trip to Tel Aviv we booked the David Intercontinental having stayed there two years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is close to the lovely shops and cafes of Neve Tzedek and to the beach; rooms are spacious, pool area good and staff helpful. On arrival there was confusion over our booking (the fault of the company who booked for us and not the Hotel) and we were told that we would have to stay at a nearby hotel for a night and then they would see if they could accommodate us from the next day (no definite, just a maybe). We were very unhappy with this but as it was late Friday afternoon and everything was grinding to a halt we finally accepted it. I went to retrieve our luggage which we had dropped earlier in the day, before heading to Jerusalem. I must have been looking very miserable as the Reception Service and Bell Desk Manager asked me what the matter was and I explained our disappointment and frustration. His name is Yuval Yaron and he is now officially my guardian angel. He said, “Don't go, and let me see what I can do”. Forty five minutes later, after he interceded on our behalf, we had a wonderful room with fabulous views of the sea and the surrounding city. For the duration of our stay, Yuval was there if we needed anything and we are so grateful to him for coming to our rescue.

I was so very pleased with all the help given to me by the Concierge service in handling my Smartphone and getting it started with an Israeli Sim Card.
Niv Cohen was and has been very helpful and kind, helping me all the way until the problem was settled. It was a bit complicated. Thank you so much!!!

After my last visit (see review http://bit.ly/19AovdH), I was invited by the hotel's management to spend a couple of free nights as compensation for my negative experience.

This time around, things were great. Service was very good, Room was clean, access to lounge was nice. Really cannot complain. Thank you David Intercontinental.

Very large hotel, with outdoor pool that overlooks the beach. The service was fine for me, they just don't seem to have enough staff at the front desk given the size of the hotel. The room was large, appeared to be recently renovated with nice big flat screen TV, new carpet, nice furniture, a desk large enough to place your computer and work, the shower a bit outdated, and the breakfast has a variety of items of good quality. The location is right across from the beach, and if you are coming with your family and want a nice place to stay with a pool, I would recommend.

I stayed with the family in July 2013 at the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv. We had a great stay. The service, food, our rooms were superb. The kids loved the swimming pool. The public areas are amazing and staff were really first class throughout our stay. The location of the hotel is perfect to enjoy Tel Aviv. This hotel is defintely the number 1 hotel in Tel Aviv. I cannot recommend it enough. Will definitely be back with the family very soon.

This was my second stay at this hotel and they really manage to have the right formula. So many large hotels seem to fall down on staff attitudes, but this hotel seems to have a highly motivated and customer focussed staff. The only exception was the security guard doing pool access duty on the weekend who thought he was more important than the PM, and had a really bad disposition - we saw him upset many guests. But this one person should not detract from all other staff being great. The rooms are well maintained, clean and have a good ambience about them. The food is tasty and plentiful and the whole hotel layout is great. The location is superb, with good access to most areas. I would definitely have this as my hotel of choice in tel Aviv in future

So...THIS was the least expensive hotel of the three we stayed during our trip. (Inbal Jerusalem and Scots Tiberius). Can't compare the Scots due to it's uniqueness, but there is no comparison to the Inbal. This property was spectacular in every way at 40% less! Large contemporary sea view room, great location and fantastic breakfast. Did I mention it was 40% less!!! Altho the Inbal had free wifi, the signal was so weak it didn't matter. There was a convenient, small cafe less than a block away with free wifi. GREAT PROPERTY!
