“Wonderful hotel”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Excellent Hotel and wonderful service.

All the staff could not do enough for me and the hotel is situated in an excellent position.
I changed rooms to a sea view with balcony and this was outstanding the sun shone through for hours!!
The Israeli breakfast was terrific and I spent hours eating and socializing.
Certainly hope to return to this hotel again

Room Tip: Try for a low floor with balcony facing Jaffa

We arrived very late so we had no option but to have room service food. We wished we had not bothered. My fishburger was barely edible and at best lukewarm. The coffee at best was stone cold. The bed was ok but the pillows were not high standard. Shower after you learned to work it without covering the bathroom floor with water was ok. Breakfasts were excellent and an education for a non Jew. Cooks on hand to make you fresh egg dishes and pancakes. Worth a return visit even if its only for the location. Good views of the sea and the surfing.
We combined business with a holiday.

Room Tip: a front room with ocean view is nice. No rooms are quiet if you want to open the windows and avoid t...

Wonderful hotel, friendly and professional staff. Beware of the cigar lounge, barkeeper writes tab with a fork. Otherwise good experience. Gym and spa are being refurbished, they should be ready by mid May.

This is one of the best hotels I stay in throughout the world. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating to all our requests - which can be difficult at times ! The hotel is spotless, the food out of this world, the location brilliant, the rooms excellent - in fact I cannot praise it enough, we are looking forward to returning there later in the year.

Room Tip: All the rooms we have stayed in have been of a very high standard - large and comfortable and cleane...

Wow. What a nice hotel. I have nothing bad to say about it. Modern, spacious, beautiful. Not directly on the beach, but across the street from it. Staff is friendly, helpful, and quite attractive. The breakfast buffet is to die for. The pool is nice. The rooms are not so big, but well furnished, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The food at the hotel is very tasty, albeit expensive. The Inca Bar is a dimly-lit haven for cuban cigars and strong drinks. I would live at this hotel if I could.

We had a great stay during last Passover holiday in the David InterContinental in Tel Aviv - we had a private Seder Dinner in the Hotel main restaurant, the food quality and service level were excellent – provided by the waiters team which were keen to take care of our special requests and deliver it promptly ensuring that the pace of the Hagada will continue with no disruption. The dinner menu was rich and breakfast provided wide assortment of food items which are not very common due to the Passover Kosher restrictions. We would love to return again for the Passover Holiday

The David Intercontinental has become my favorite hotel in Tel Aviv, and one of my two favorites in all of Israel (David Citadel being the other). The staff is outstanding, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient; the rooms are comfortable and quiet (a rarity); breakfast buffet is a cross section of everything typically Israeli with a touch of European and American staples. Situated on the edge of the Neve Tzedek neighborhood of galleries, boutiques and coffee shops, it's a mash up of Tel Aviv and Soho. Wireless isn't free but it's fast and reliable. If you need something, just ask -- I wanted "schug yarok" (green hot chili sauce) for my breakfast, and while it's normally only served on Saturdays, I had a dish to last a week within minutes. I love my cold beverages in the morning, and getting ice was as simple again as asking -- maybe those don't seem like big deals but the hotel staff goes out of their way to be accommodating and make you feel at home.

Big positives: walk to the Carmel Market, or Nachalat Benjamin to browse the crafts, or walk along the boardwalk into Old Jaffa. The taxi we used was getting to/from the airport.

Minor downside - there's no money exchange in the hotel (but there's a great ATM right around the corner that offers a solid bank rate, and there's a money changer just up the road).

Room Tip: It's worth the upgrade to the executive rooms.
