Was allocated a spacious room with an extremely comfy King-size bed. Only stayed one night on business but had a nice meal and spent an enjoyable couple of hours at the bar, which was peaceful and relaxed. Appeared to be frequented by many family groups, who were enjoying the large swimming pool.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever been staying at, anywhere. I got a large room (free upgrade) with view of the mediterranian sea on the 21st floor. I asked for a smoker room, and was very pleased with the room that didnt have the usual, yellowtinted wall and ceiling, no burnmarks in the carpet and no unpleasant odour.

The bed was huge and comfortable & bathroom was equipped with both shower and bathtub. TV was a good quality 32", and there is a huge selection of channels to choose from.

The staff is friendly and able. Let them haggle with the cabdrivers, they will make sure you get a reasonable rate.

The A/C unit in the rooms are very powerful and if you're not used to them, the noise may be annoying. Fortunally, you can control both temperature and power from the panel, and turn it off completely if you prefer.

The hotel restaurant serves only kosher food which limits the breakfast buffet a bit - but if you can live without Bacon (or other pork products) you have everything you need. If you're desperate, you can order non-kosher roomservice.

They also observe Shabbat (sundown friday to sundown saturday). This can make life a little difficult for guests that are not jewish, but according to a note in the room they try to make this as painless as possible.

Overall a very pleasant experience, and I hope to stay there again on future business travels.

Room Tip: The view of the mediterranian sea is breathtaking; get a sea-side room if possible.

We have been in this Hotel recently and we were very satisfied with our room the service and the ameneties. But when we made the reservation, we asked several times, wether the pool is open and we always got the answer yes ! One of the things we were looking forward to.But when we arrived the reception told us only at the weekend the pool is open. But the weekend came....and the pool area was closed, like the other days before. This was very disapointing !
It is not the first time.....the management decided it is winter and nobody should enjoy the sun at the pool area ? What is this ? Another thing is really awful, that in a five star rated hotel like this you have to pay for Wlan ? You have to pay for Internet access and only if your are an executive member the access is free. Where in the world are we ? In any hotel in the US and other parts of the world it is free. Even in lower budget hotels you have unlimited access.
Is was not the reason to come to Israel but it is a part of service of a *****Hotel !

Room Tip: Try to get the higher levels, and the rooms with sea view!

Hey Jutta,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the swimming pool. We pride ourselves in offering our guests the very best experience. As for Wifi, we work with a provider that specializes in large areas such as our hotel. We do our utmost to provide our guests with the fastest internet available, and we currently offer the best cost possible. We realize this is an issue and are looking into this topic. However, our Inca Bar offers free unlimited internet access; opening hours are: weekdays: from 5pm to the last guest and weekends: from 7pm to the last guest

Thank you for choosing InterContinental David, Tel Aviv and for providing us feedback. We appreciate your stay and look forward to having you as one of our guests again in the future.

The hotel is located in the southern part of Tel Aviv near Neve Tzedik and Yafo. It is directly across the street from the beach. The hotel itself is luxurious and modern. It is large, open and contemporary. The rooms are all modern and quiet, and in my two stays at the David, I have had excellent views of the Mediterranean and Tel Aviv. There is free wifi throughout the hotel. There are several restaurants in the hotel, although I did not eat in any of them; they looked nice.

What distinguishes this hotel from others in Tel Aviv is its modern architecture and excellent location. The David sits right on the sea, and it is possible to have business meetings or tour all day, and sit and watch the sunset at the beach in the evening. There is a walking promenade all along the beach area and you can easily find yourself walking quite a distance to Yafo or closer to the center of Tel Aviv. An evening walk along the beach of Tel Aviv was outstanding, and brimming with activity.

The David is also located near the trendy neighborhood of Neve Tzedik. This bohemian, ultra-hip neighborhood is bustling with restaurants, bars and all types of music. Many of the streets are cobblestone, reminding me of Soho or Greenwich Village. It is a small neighborhood, easily tackled in one evening, but represented a distinct change from the rest of Tel Aviv. The restaurants in this neighborhood (not kosher) are excellent.

There is also a nearby produce and goods market that is open most days and about 2 blocks away from the hotel. This is a great market to explore Israeli life, and to pick up some inexpensive t shirts or souvenirs. Central Tel Aviv is also an easy walk away from the hotel. I walked into other neighborhoods and found great shopping and it just seemed like everywhere I turned something was going on. The diversity of these nearby areas within walking distance, makes the Intercontinental a great choice when visiting Tel Aviv.

Room Tip: Ask to face north and you'll be treated to a view of the Tel Aviv skyline and the Mediterranean...

i have stayed here a few times and feel it is reasonable value compared to the other hotels in Tel Aviv. In my view, they are all overpriced for what they provide but this is one of the better hotels in the city.
Great location and very good breakfast.
The pool area is noisy from the road traffic, but is clean and very nice.
Good for business people and family holidays.

My fiancee took me to this hotel on my bday and it was amazing! I absolutely loved the view from the window, as we were overlooking the sea, and we were on 21st floor, so it was great! I couldn't get my eyes from that breathtaking view. Room service was excellent.
