“A Good family hotel”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

As a family we visit this hotel each year. I ensure that I advise the hotel in advance of my check in time and other requests I might have. The hotel is hit and miss at acknowledging Priority Club status. As a Platinium member I normally receive complimentary water in the room each day and some fruit. Both were lacking this year.

Our room was not available at checkin. This was despite us arriving 90 minutes late. we were allowed in the business lounge after I suggested a drink be provided whilst our room be prepared.

Two days into our ten day holiday I received lounge access. This is open throughout the day and is well maintained with charming staff. However Kids are not permitted in the lounge at any time even at weekends.

The kids club operated for the majority of our stay. as special mention should go to Gabby who was excellent with all the kids. She kept our son entertained throughout the day. It is a shame that occasional evening activities such as a film show whilst parents eat dinner.

The pool is well maintained but the lifeguards are not over friendly. Hotel guests are not verified on entry to the pool and often friends and family of guests take over the loungers.

On reception Sara is superb. she normally works mornings and her efficiency at dealing with requests is a breath of fresh air.

The conciege staff were always friendly and efficient. They can provide maps and directions and will park your car promptly.

The food is superb in the hotel. The waiting staff on the wholeare clueless. They are slow at clearing tables and lack training and direction from the numerous managers in the dining room.

Always try and get a high up room which faces Jaffa. The rooms are well specified and free wifi is available from a code available at reception. The new showers in the bathroom are a big improvement.

Room Tip: Contact the hotel before you arrive and run throgh any specific requests in advance

Rating this hotel as 5 star is quite a stretch - 3 star would be more accurate. The location is on the beach but you have to negotiate a dirty flight of stairs to reach it. While we were there the boardwalk between the hotel and beach was undergoing extensive construction but hopefully will be nice in the future. The room was adequate but dust balls under the dresser when we checked in remained there throughout our 3 day stay. The hotel pool was a huge disappointment - not the inviting place to swim and relax that you would expect - much more like a high school gym in rundown condition. The above ground hot tub was not working and the glass door leading into the pool area was broken and taped together. The breakfast buffet was extensive though not particularly good - there were cooked to order eggs. We did not eat any other meals at the hotel. The tour desk was helpful in planning day trips to Jerusalem, Dead Sea, etc. I recommend Rent A Guide and if you do the "business class" you are in a small group and avoid the big buses.

Room Tip: Ask for a view, which we did but the balcony was slippery and dirty.

The bookstore attendant can actually recommend a good book and cares about customers. Sadly, that caring does not show through with most of the other staff in the hotel or restaurant.

Views are lovely and there are tiny patios. Mirrors extend the view.

Little to no baggage assistance. Extended checkout time was appreciated.

Not the usual CP quality. Hole in the sheet.

We have recently returned from the Crowne Plaza -Hayarkon St. Tel Aviv, having stayed there before and would highly recommended this hotel as its close to all amenities including the beach. The staff were very accommodating, polite and friendly, Especially Avi, Ivo & Rachel who excelled themselves when we had some problems at home while we were away and they were extremely helpful and sympathetic. A highly recommended hotel.

Late las year (October to December) I had the privilege of staying at the Crowne Plaza Tel Aviv on Hayarkon Street. The hotels location right on the beach was great. It was easy to walk to most restaurants and shops. There is a boardwalk between the hotel and the beach that was very handy to exercise on either walking or jogging. The staff in the business lounge on level 9 were always extremely helpful, professional and welcoming. The staff in the business lounge provided first class service at all times with Rachel going above and beyond to make the stay a great experience. Avi the General Manager was also very professional and multi lingual. All staff in the business lounge and the breakfast area were very professional and helpful. The concierge staff were always helpful with suggestions on places to go and how to get there. As well as parking and retrieving the hire car whenever it was required.
The room was clean and a good size.
Very happy with my experience during this stay.

Room Tip: Odd numbered rooms from 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 south side have the best views along the beach.

I have spent an unforgettable week in Crown Plaza with my daughter. The arrival was not perfect, the reception did not find my booking for a while. The young man arranged us a nice sea view room with balcony so we were at the end of the day satisfied with the welcome procedure.
Tel Aviv offers you everything what a tourist needs: restaurants, beach, culture and we loved it very much.
The breakfast was rich and authentic, a little too crowded room, but friendly staff.
The only thing we did not like is that I did not get a late check out so the last afternoon I had to ask the beach staff to keep our luggage at their storage place.

This Crowne Plaza (Hayarkon Street) is right on the beach, in a prime location. Very happy with that. Check-in was easy, and SARA was very helpful. Standard room is a bit small, but clean and modern. Was not pleased with the air-conditioning, and if they fixed it, as they claim, it needs to be replaced instead. The temp in the room never seemed to change. Breakfast buffet is great, don't miss it! Egggs, salad, fish, yogurt, breads, and so, so much more. Kudos to JAD who works at the front-desk: Very helpful, friendly and professional. True, it is a small and narrow balcony, but still nice for a photo or two. Spa is nice. Wireless Internet was good, consistent. Disappointed in the daily charge for use of the Fitness Center. Still, I will be back!
