Upon arriving at the hotel at 5 pm (2hrs after check in) we discovered our room wasn't ready, no alternative was offered and was told to we had to wait. They made a point of telling us they will hurry housekeeping up so the room will be ready asap. It showed big time. Firstly, the sofa bed was not ready for our kids. We rang down to get it sorted, housekeeping turned up, barged in, didn't have the courtesy to knock or say hello. She had bought only one pillow even though we had two kids. The sewing kit box and vanity box were empty yet still on display. There were 4 of us in the room and only 3 towels in the bathroom, 2 of which were filthy. We rang down and explained there were FOUR people in the room. We had to do this every morning and evening after the room had been cleaned or turned down because for some reason they kept taking a towel away. It got very frustrating and there just didn't seem to be any communication between the hotel staff. The toilet paper and tissues were never replenished, the tv remote didn't work. Overall the room was small even though it was a family room.
The Pool area felt very unclean. The sun loungers were dirty. There was a soft drink spillage which was still there the following morning and had congealed in the sun. On top of this, the lifeguard wouldn't allow my son to wear sun protective clothing in the pool. The same lifeguard also didn’t allow him to have his float which we explained was a swimming aid. This upset my son who then took a lot of persuasion to get back in the pool. However two Israeli kids were allowed in the pool wearing sun protective clothing, a large rubber ring and a beach ball??? The lifeguard was so concerned about my kids’ safety in the pool that he then left the pool side and went into the disgusting smoking hut by the side of the pool to have a cigarette. There was no way he could have seen the pool from where he was standing. He was very rude.
The only redeeming features of the hotel were that the breakfast was quite good (for an Israeli hotel), great location and free Wi-Fi.
