Upon arriving at the hotel at 5 pm (2hrs after check in) we discovered our room wasn't ready, no alternative was offered and was told to we had to wait. They made a point of telling us they will hurry housekeeping up so the room will be ready asap. It showed big time. Firstly, the sofa bed was not ready for our kids. We rang down to get it sorted, housekeeping turned up, barged in, didn't have the courtesy to knock or say hello. She had bought only one pillow even though we had two kids. The sewing kit box and vanity box were empty yet still on display. There were 4 of us in the room and only 3 towels in the bathroom, 2 of which were filthy. We rang down and explained there were FOUR people in the room. We had to do this every morning and evening after the room had been cleaned or turned down because for some reason they kept taking a towel away. It got very frustrating and there just didn't seem to be any communication between the hotel staff. The toilet paper and tissues were never replenished, the tv remote didn't work. Overall the room was small even though it was a family room.
The Pool area felt very unclean. The sun loungers were dirty. There was a soft drink spillage which was still there the following morning and had congealed in the sun. On top of this, the lifeguard wouldn't allow my son to wear sun protective clothing in the pool. The same lifeguard also didn’t allow him to have his float which we explained was a swimming aid. This upset my son who then took a lot of persuasion to get back in the pool. However two Israeli kids were allowed in the pool wearing sun protective clothing, a large rubber ring and a beach ball??? The lifeguard was so concerned about my kids’ safety in the pool that he then left the pool side and went into the disgusting smoking hut by the side of the pool to have a cigarette. There was no way he could have seen the pool from where he was standing. He was very rude.
The only redeeming features of the hotel were that the breakfast was quite good (for an Israeli hotel), great location and free Wi-Fi.

Dear Mr. /Mrs. Tamar P,

Thank you for your review and being so detailed in the good, the bad and the opportunities to improve.

Whilst I am pleased with the good and the really good comments, I truly value the bad comments about your check-in, the housekeeping, and the swimming pool as this gives us the opportunity of improving what we can offer to improve your stay.

We will address these points and I hope when you return you will see the improvements made.

Thank you again for your review.

Hotel was located on the beach and close to Tel Aviv activities. The hotel staff was excellent and made sure we were taken care of, especially Rachel. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy with all aspects of our stay. Since we had a late flight, they even allowed us a late check out with no extra charge. I highly recommend the Crown Plaza if you are going to Tel Aviv.

the hotel was well located on the beach and boardwalk as well as being close to all the Tel Aviv action. The staff was professional and friendly. The breakfast buffet in the main dining room was huge and very good. We had access to the VIP lounge which was well worth it as their were drinks and food all day till eleven at night. It is a beautiful lounge which was well managed and very relaxing. There even is a mini breakfast buffet if you do not want to go downstairs!

Room Tip: Ask for a redone room as not all the rooms have as yet been renovated..eg the 12th floor is redone

When we arrived (after normal check in time)our room was not ready and we had to wait 3 hours. They were very apologetic and provided us with food and drinks at no charge while waiting. Other then that, the room was great. Very clean and new looking. This hotel is right on the beach and a couple of blocks from down town. There are several dining options and the staff was more then helpful when making recommendations. The pool is kid friendly too. We tried to book an extra night to extend the stay but they were all booked.

Good quality hotel with clean rooms and friendly people. The breakfast though is disappointing. Although the rooms are clean, I found the basement entry (entry from beach level) below standard for this hotel category. In summary it is recommandabele for business trips,

This was a lovely hotel with friendly staff and large comfortable rooms, but a couple of things could be made better. First, the lobby has a constant strong perfume smell, which gave me a headache every time I got off the elevator. The pool area was not kept well. There were pistachio shells on the floor, dangerous puddles and dirty towels left on the lounges so I was not sure if they were taken or not, a problem when the pool area is busy.

But here's the differnece between a 4 star and 5 star hotel, although great customer service does not come with a price. Check in is at 3 and I arrived at 3:30. My room was not ready which is not a problem. It happens. However, I was told to just go somewhere and they would phone me when my room was ready. How do you think I felt? Definitely not happy. What a difference it would have made if they had said, "We're sorry your room is not ready yet, why don't you go to the espresso bar and have a coffee with our compliments while we finish up". I work in sales so I know how you should treat your customers. Make them feel appreciated.

Stayed for 3 nights ending on June 1 for a quick business trip. For beachfront, this a very good hotel for the price. The breakfast is very good, with a decent price for a resort area. I had a lower floor overlooking the parking lot and the Herod...the only two problems with this sided are the blinding lights at night that flood the parking area and the traffic noise. The honking is not as bad as other countries, and even in the rest of Israel, but it is very concentrated at this junction. My suggestion is to ask for pool side, or a floor above the 6th floor.
Some things to expect...the balcony will only hold 2 people, the rooms are nice, and seem to be about 1/2 of their way through their life. Also, if you drive, parking is Very challenging. Local phone calls will add up with no notic by the phone.
The bar is quaint and ALL of the staff were very pleasant and seemed to 'just know' I wanted to use English. The location to the beach cannot be beat! I would be happy to stay here again, and bring the family next time.
Make sure to use your Priority Club number, as they allowed me an extended check out with reference to my status as the reason that this would not be a problem.
