Description: Kitchen Market is a contemporary fusion restaurant above the farmers' market in Tel Aviv's famous port Namal which is a popular destination for foodies. The market is a source of the finest ingredients, brought up straight to the kitchen. Pure flavors, made with passion by talented Israeli chef Yossi Shitrit, for people that love food. Overlooking the lively harbor and food market you can enjoy a great and bustling atmosphere while eating dinner, ending your evening with a stunning and romantic ocean view sunset.

We have eaten at Kitchen Market twice this week.
The food and presentation are both out of this world, certainly equal to anything currently on offer in London. Every dish, from yellowtail sashimi, to mixed beets in agave syrup with stilton creme brulee(!), slow cooked lamb and wonderful red mullet with a freekah risotto, was simply divine and the presentation incredible. Service was friendly and professional, with a really buzzy atmosphere in a lovely contemporary room overlooking the old port in Tel Aviv. An unforgettable dining experience. Cheap it is not, but worth every penny.

This restaurant is located on the second floor above the farmer's market in the Namal (the old Tel Aviv port now converted into restaurants, stores and public areas). It is a "fusion" restaurant specializing in interesting combinations of fresh local fish and produce. We noticed several people taking photos of their dishes before eating them. While we enjoyed the restaurant and the meal, it was too sophisticated for our tastes and we may not have appreciated all the preparation and use of ingredients which went into the various dishes. The menu rates portions as small, medium and large. The large were small. Service was reasonable but not spectacular.

Seven us enjoyed a lovely Friday evening dinner at this nice restaurant above the market in Tel Aviv's North Port. The restaurant has 2 seating areas. The first has beautiful views of the sea. The other overlooks the market below.
The wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. The 12 year old ordered a pizza with olives (not on the menu). The pizza arrived sans olives. It was quickly removed and returned with olives. One of our group thought the Mushroom Gnocchi too bland. It was removed and she ordered the sirloin steak instead.
We shared 2 starters, Tomato Mozzarella and The Shrimp Pak Choi. They were OK but not memorable. The Seafood Pizza was enjoyable. The nicely done sirloin steaks were served with a delicious potato puree. The Seafood Ravioli (Shrimp) served in a most flavorful crabmeat sauce surrounded by seared scallops & mushrooms was the best. Unfortunately The Mediterranean Fish Filet was dry and uninspiring. The 3 desserts were wonderful.
