“Fabulous!”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

My brother and I decided to give my mom a weekend in one of Tel Aviv's hotels as present for her 50th birthday. As this birthday was very important to us we spent a long time looking for the right hotel online and finally made a reservation at one of the hotels, few days later I decided to see with my own eyes whether I like my present or not... well I really didn't!!!!!! everything was wrong!!!! So I decided to go hotel hunting in Tel Aviv, I must have seen at least five (narrowed down out of 50 online) nothing seemed perfect, but when I entered The Rothschild Hotel I new I found what I was looking for. The vibe was wonderful, relaxing and pleasant you feel like your in Europe. The hotel staff was great, and first time in my life I saw a hotel owner walking around the hotel making sure his guests are pleased. The Hotel is beautiful, the rooms are beautiful, the breakfast was delicious. This hotel is expensive but considering it's prime location it's worth it.
Definitely recommend it!!!!

On the positive side: The decor is impressive. Staff are friendly and helpful (but do tend to seem overworked and busy and requests can take awhile to get fulfilled). The hotel has a luxurious feel. Breakfast is good (although there are no vegan options).
On the negative side: The bathroom doors were glass (mostly frosted) and didn't lock, which was quite odd and uncomfortable. The mini-fridge in the room was completely packed with overpriced items, and it would have been nice to have room to put our own drinks/food in there. The light switches in the room were really difficult to figure out, as they weren't labelled and weren't always close to the lights they were for, so trying to turn on and off lights was pretty frustrating. Also, get to breakfast early. After about 9 am, it gets very crowded and there aren't enough servers to cope, and the meals can take ages, which is frustrating when you want/need to go.
In sum, it was a nice hotel that clearly wants to be very luxurious, but there are some small annoyances that can easily be rectified.

Beautiful high level, meticulous boutique hotel, does honor to the Tel Aviv Rothschild Heritage. Excellent location, attention to detail, and overall quality. Very admirable.
Exceptional for couples looking to feel the heart of Tel Aviv and not waste time traveling.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Insist on rooms with a porch facing the west - and overlook the beautiful boulevard.

Nice neat and cozy hotel on a great location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great attention to detail on the rooms (neatly put together, simple yet functional furniture). Great shower and bed, plenty of tv channels and excellent wifi speed. Our only complaint is that you can hear every noise happening on the halls, people talking... Doors opening and closing. Also, breakfast is a little bit disorganised (our order took a while and they forgot our beverages twice even though the breakfast room was not full), however, food was good.

The highest standard of hospitality I have ever encountered in Israel (in the last 55 years...). Quiet, elegant, beautiful, peaceful, and an example of cleanliness. Very cleverly designed with superb taste, wisely combining luxury and simplicity, seriousness, pleasantness and utmost comfort. Welcoming, amicable, caring, and professional staff. Suite 21-22: The room I love! The perfect room for me - the ideal retreat. Exquisitely and beautifully furnished and equipped, it provieds a lovely ambiance and maximum comfort for a true deep repose and peace of mind. An abode of tranquility! Amazing, as all of this is placed on the busy, charming, most popular Rothschild Blvd. in the heart of Tel Aviv, with the easiest access to major attractions and sites of the city.

Important to add, that the hotel has a sensational wine bar, which offers, inter alia, some of the finest single malt brands: Lagavulin, Ardbeg, and Patron tequilla. It has a very good restaurant, operating both for breakfast (7:00-12:00) and lunch/dinner (13:00-23:00), with a lovely variety of foods.

This is my choice hotel.

Rooms are fine , clean nice linen and soft towels
Kind of stark and cold feel to them
Room lighting is annoying set of multiple switches
Air con and hallway doors slamming made noises in room

Room is dead quite from street noise and bathroom amenities nice test tube offering from Jerusalem

Front desk check in request were met with disorganised students who do to many things at once instead of focussing on client in front of them

Parking is far away no valet or bag service

No room turndown in evening for these prices I expected more or some care over simple room hire
Even if they just change towels and top up water for the night

Mini bar is a bit like a vending machine and very expensive

In room coffee machine nice touch but didn't work so well at first

The montifiore is a better offering for me . It has an edge over any hotel I have stayed at in tel aviv

Rothschild could be better if they trained staff in listening to guests and being present with them when in contact

I still did enjoy my stay slept very well and hope they improve the service side to match the offering

Room Tip: Away from elevators
