“Not impressed”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Six of us went there Saturday night for some fallafel and were very unimpressed.

The falaffel were OK but not brilliant and have an aniseed flavour which some may not like.

What was really unimpressive was the acompanying dishes - they were very bland and looked un-inviting. The humous was Ok but not great and between 6 of us we harldy touched a number of the dishes. The pitta was not hot although the chips were ok.

Would not recommend this place.

“Excellent skewers”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

And that's before I even tell you about the fantastic spread of side dishes that come with the skewers. From houmous to chillies, from aubergines to carrots, you name it. Not a Gordon Ramsey fare but lovely food at a reasonable price in the middle of Old Jaffa. What more can anyone ask for...

“Best eastern food”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

You always been told that Pita and Humus are the simble of eastern food. Well, to all our visiters in Jaffa - Abullafia is well known as KING of the Pita as his family in Jaffa for a long generation. Can't pass in Jaffa and don't pay a visit at Abulafia's.....That will be your lost !!!

“Not a bed "tourist resturnt"”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

Near the clock tower in old Jaffa a resturnt that although is frequent by tourist groups still give a rather good food with resonable prices.it's not an alternative for a good oriental resturant.
Opposite the resturant is Abulafia bageles-a must.
