Description: Doctor Shakshuka is a kosher restaurant serving North-African home-style cuisine, which has many fans. Most of the cooking is done in the family kitchen by the mother of the family. The restaurant caters to private events in a unique and authentic atmosphere. Doctor Shakshuka offers the best Turkish shawarma made of thin slices of lamb with minced lamb meat in between, skewered on one huge spit, in he's new shawarma place(same location).

We stumbled on to their restaurant in Old Jaffa. The seating is outdoors. Breakfast was shakshuka, bread and turkish coffee. It was very tasty.

We stopped here for lunch while touring Yafo with our guide. Lots of atmosphere inside. You can eat inside or outside. They are known for there Shakshuka which you can add either shawarma, lamb sausage or different types of vegetables They also serve shawarma but not in a pita. It's served with a large loaf of bread. They also were kind enough to fill our water bottles.

Food was mediocre (ordered one shakshuka with onions and one cous-cous mafrum) and overpriced. The taste of the food was not good enough to dilute the sour taste of the poor service. Service below average: 1. a jug of water came without glasses, so we had to fetch some ourselves from a neighboring table, 2. one meal came through, the other came a half-hour later, 3. the waiter didn't keep track of what we had ordered and when he was writing out the bill for us in the end he kept insisting that we had ordered a salad and beers, even though we hadn't.
