We went to Hatraklin because their high rating here on Trip advisor. we were all very disappointed. Our group consist of meat lovers, all with a lot of experience.
Two of us took the Wagyu beef...it came basically cold on a cold plate, and was not tender at all. when we told the waiter, he answered: Wagyu beef is served that way....i had a Ribeye, nothing special, absolutely average.
We left the place and were wondering, why the rating of this Restaurant is so over the top. Either they just had a really bad day and it was the waiter's first day or they the people praising them do not have the same idea of good meat as we do...

Food was amazing, every dish seemed better than the one before it - our favorite was the beef tartare. Our waiter Ben was incredibly helpful and friendly. Everything on the menu look great so his help with both our food and wine choices was very welcomed! Decor inside was very warm and welcoming. Would definitely go back again!

The best thing about Hatraklin in my (vegetarian) opinion was the atmosphere. It's super cozy, kind of dark, makes you want to spent hours there, drinking red wine. The husband had the Rocca steak which was delicious (according to him) and the dish was so big he couldn't even finish it. I had the ravioli which was just ok. But I guess you can't expect too much in a meaty restaurant. The wine they offered was excellent and in general the service was very professional and friendly. They even gave us free first dish and a free dessert! A great place for a romantic evening, specially if you are meat lovers.

We enjoyed the evening immensely. The place is located in the beautiful ancient part of south Tel-Aviv. The food is superb the staff is kind and I recommend this restaurant heartily.
