Make sure you place this restaurant on your list for dining during your stay in Tel Aviv. It is a cozy, inviting, restaurant with multiple dining areas. If you can, as for the front room for dining. Our waiter provided first class service, was very knowledgeable of both the menu and wine list and helped us make the right selections for dinner. All of the staff was welcoming and the total environment made you feel like you were dining in your neighborhood restaurant. The meat dishes are extraordinary but a caution to U.S. visitors, the taste is different than U.S. prime beef.

We stopped in at Hatraklin Restaurant during a short holiday in Tel Aviv during the Passover holiday week. We arrived fairly late - after 10 PM - but in Tel Aviv that wouldn't normally be a problem. The host and server were both very nice - but our feeling was that they were pushing us in directions that would have added to the bill rather than taking into account the dishes that we really wanted. The concept of exclusively local Israeli food and wine products is very interesting and I liked the idea in principle. I ordered their "flagship" plate - Sinta Strips which are cooked on a hot rock. You add the sauce and spices (salt and pepper) as you which. It was good but not the greatest. I personally prefer to have a plate in which the restaurant makes the sauce or adds the spices, rather than having to do it myself. I would have chosen something else on the menu. My wife had their chicken dish, which was also okay - not great. The wines they offered were very good and the atmosphere is very nice. In short, we may have chosen the wrong time to go, and the wrong holiday, but our overall experience was just average.

Went to HaTraklin last night with my wife and our grown son. Lovely place, excellent service, interesting concept. Mainly for steak and wine, which was what we were seeking. We shared two appetizers, Beef Carpaccio and Chopped liver, and the Porterhouse steak. All were delicious and it was enough food for three hungry adults. We had wine we enjoyed, but not the one we had chosen since they had run out. Previously, when we wanted red meat we'd go to Ng. In our opinion, HaTraklin was superior and we will certainly be back.

In case the management reads this: paper napkins? Really?

Went on a double-birthday celebration with a good friend, and loved every moment of it.
The environment is very classy, from the seating via the music and the staff.
The selection of wine is small but very high end.
and the food... everything we ate was great. we have the Sinta and the Steak Rika which were both awesome.
not cheap, but definitely great for a special occasion.

In residential area of Neve Tzedek you can get an amazing steak and bottle of wine. Be ready to sample a couple of wines before settling into your choice. We drank one of the best bottles ever from a boutique vineyard in the Golan. Personal nit pick is that paper napkins should be replaced by linen or cotton. Felt low class for such a nice place. Natalie was amazing! Loved our evening there!
