Excellent food and service - a wonderful atmosphere and great fun. The best Tapas I have had outside of Spain. Glorious and good value too.

“Great ambiance - service/food is ok”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

At the old train station, tucked away in the back under some fig trees is an outdoor Spanish tapas restaurant. While it is certainly a restaurant with a full menu, it's really more of an outdoor cafe or bar, and in this respect it really shines. They play nice music and in the train station area (HaTachana - which is no longer a train station but a converted pedestrian shopping area) it totally works. The food is a pretty good attempt at Spanish tapas, but this isn't Spain so don't go here for the authenticity of the food - go for the ambiance and the "intention". They achieve the same outcome as a Spanish tapas bar, a relaxed, fun place to spend a few hours, have some wine or beer, listen to great music, people watch and enjoy the evening weather of Tel Aviv.

I've been here twice. On one occasion very late, it was quite a fun bar scene - with the restaurant open until late. It was great. Most recently I was there with a colleague. We went early (7pm) and were asked to be ready to leave our table at 9. This was fine, but at 9, most of the tables were still empty, and we were being asked to leave so that guests with reservation could have our spot... not the best way to treat customer! We were done anyway, but it was a strange request.

“Very nice”
Reviewed August 24, 2012 via mobile

The place is nice although tables are a little bit small. Fortunately weather was not too hot and humid but no doubt this is not a place to hang around during the heat wave of July and August. Music very nice and not too loud. Service prompt and efficient. We had a nice sangria but I browsed their wine list and it looks very good.
About the food: we had the whole menu therefore I can vouch all of it is tasty. Some dishes were not more than average (the asparagus to mention one) some tasty (all the salads) and some very good (the St Jacques).
All in all we had a very nice evening and I will surely return

“So disappointed!”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

The restaurant is very popular, but I am not sure why....seating is not comfortable, tables are very small, service is slow, and the food......not yummy. Very disappointed. We had calamari with arugula and potatoes which was okay, too salty and too much oil. We had saviche that was very fishy, simply not edible.
We had beef filet which was tiny but we did not mind since it was tasteless.we did not touch it. we ordered fish that was supposed to be grilled, but was fried,on rice. It was bad.
Tomato salad was the only one we could actually eat. We paid, too much, and we left, disappointed. As we were still hungry,we went to another restaurant.luckily,it was better.
Not going to return to vicky or Christina. I truly find it amazing that they are fully booked.
