“We loved it!”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Brown TLV. We spent our first night in a classic room, which we found a bit too cosy, and the rest of our holiday in a relax room, which suited us better. Both rooms were immaculately appointed and very comfortable. Every member of staff at the reception was very professional, welcoming, attentive and extremely helpful. Of all the hotels we ever stayed in, they must be the best group of people working in one place! We loved the idea of breakfast at different cafes as they offered a very different experience and atmosphere. The central location in Neve Tzedek allowed us to walk almost anywhere including Old Jaffa. We highly recommend this boutique hotel!

Very good service with helpful and nice crew. the hotel is located in a hip and up coming area of Tel Aviv. Trendy style, cool bar at the top of the hotel, open when warm weather, otherwise it's located next to the reception at entrance level. The rooms are optimized to its maximum but done with style!

In Tel Aviv (2012 Christmas vacations) I first stayed in easy going hotel de la mer (cheap, by the sea) but ended up joining a friend at the Brown. This former bank (!) has recently been changed to an hotel and you can hardly tell/find banknotes under your mattress. They won't take too much out of them out of your wallet either. The decoration is superb, with good pieces of furniture that you would like to take home and smart mix of relaxing colors (except see below "art works") mostly brownish, are you surprised? "Art works" are not exciting (from the top of my mind, they have simply enlarged and posted on walls huge magazine covers with ugly colors). In the lobby/living room there is a large library, part of the decoration, lacking books in other languages than Hebrew, bring your dictionary and start learning the language. I had a bigger room, which wasn't big but bigger than super small basic one. The heating system doesn't work, and they don't tell you, but they provide small heater. You might not care at all as heating is used only a few weeks per year in sun blessed T.A. In the room you are welcomed with complementary chocolates (yummy) and a bottle of local wine. The staff is very kind and helpful. If beautiful and white, front desk, if beautiful and black, cleaning. You know where you stand. Free computer/internet access and free staff browsing the web for you if shame on you too lazy to do that by yourself. Superb terrace (roof top).
One could say this is a "design hotel". Yes and no. Yes as the decoration is superb, no as "design hotels" are usually uninteresting clichés of what people without an eye call "design". They have an eye.

Room Tip: pick up so called bigger room, just a bit more expensive.

Dear Guilliaume c,

Thank you for your kind review.

I am happy that you chose to stay with us this time and that you found our concept and design cool and trendy.

We are glad that you enjoyed the small pampering gifts and amenities and are happy that our team enabled you to be lazy for a day. It is your vacation after all….

As you rightly pointed out, Tel Aviv's summer is quite long, and so we did have to leave our air conditioning running a bit longer due to some very sunny days. Now, that the winter is truly here, I can advise that the heating is fully on.

We look forward seeing you back soon.

Cool interior, very central (close to Neve Tsedek, the beach and Nachalat Benjamin street) and welcoming staff. We were served cava on arrival, which was a great start! The rooftop is excellent - so is the lobby area. The standard rooms are very small and the housekeeping was not the best - that's the only drawback.

Needed a nice quiet place to put my head for 2 nights business trip to Tel Aviv.
Great personal feel and touch - bottle of wine and hand made chocolates waited for me in the room!
Breakfast in the little cafe around the corner (cafe birnbaum) was excellent too. Look out for the artwork on the walls.
All in all 10/10 and will be back again!

Dear S G

Thank you for the lovely review. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the feel and service of the hotel.

We are very close to our beloved Tel Aviv and therefore aim to feature some of what this city has to offer. This is reflected by our three café choices for breakfast (Birenbaum has been around since the 60's), the Chocolate we offer is made by a geniuses chocolatier where his factory is only a 15 minute walk away. The wine in the room is bottled an hour away from the Hotel, to but a few. Furthermore, next week we are opening a pop-up store that will sell clothes, jewelry and accessories made by young Tel Avivian designers.

Once again thank you and we hope to be welcoming you soon.

With warm regards

You can go to TLV, but you can't go in another hotel. Ok, the rooms are not big, but the boys and girls are all nice, gentle and friendly. The position of the hotel is great. I loved the breakfast in the bars outside (Birenbaum the best), I loved the lobby with coffe and tea and delicious biscuits always ready, I loved the New Year's Eve Party on the roof and I really loved the music, I loved the shower, I loved the atmosphere. Is it enough? I don't know what you are searching for, but this is nearly the best. I wanna thank all the people working there. You made our vacation special.

We really hope to be welcoming you all in the near future. Our Garden bar has just been launched and this week we are opening our pop-up store "Souvenir". It will feature clothes, jewelry, art installations and much more, all made by Tel Avivian designers.

Thank you once again and until the next time we wish you a fantastic 2013\

Cool hotel. Great breakfast concept with complimentary breakfast at a couple of well selected cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Amazing generous and welcoming service. Very international. Good location in cool Neve Tzedek. The rooms are small though, but it doesn't really matter once you're installed.
