“Excellent Shalom Hotel and Relax in Tel Aviv”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

This hotel was excellent. Close to the main roads and the beaches. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They serve the best breakfast ever. Happy hour is amazing. Everything including drinks for free. The rooms and the upper terrace made for most relaxing and enjoyable stay. We recommend the Shalom Hotel and Relax most highly.

Room Tip: All rooms well insulated so very little traffic noise.

After spending a couple of days in Jerusalem then the Dead Sea, my friends and I had come to realise very quickly that when a hotel claims to be 4 stars, it isn’t really. Thankfully our last hotel on our trip the Shalom Hotel & Relax Tel Aviv really did live up to its billing.

I can not recommend this hotel enough, for couples or a group of friends. Amazing rooms (we had one spa room and one regular) which were clean and beautifully designed. The staff were professional, courteous and eager to help. Situated close to the beach and only a short taxi ride, (we were too lazy to walk) from the nightlife area, it is the perfect location. Close to the action, but far enough away to chill out also.

I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: For couples the Spa room is amazing. The roof terrace is great druing the day or night,

We spent three days in this hotel and were exceptionally pleased with the hospitality, the atmosphere, the quality of the room, the lovely lobby and breakfast area, the beautiful rooftop and above all the kind and attentive staff. The addition of movies on USB and Wi Fi all over the hotel made it easy to keep in touch and feel the beat of the city.

Room Tip: We took a regular room and it was great

This is the fourth time I have stayed here. I have been to Tel Aviv many times and have stayed at: Hilton, Sheraton, Dan, Crowne Plaza, Carlton, Renaissance, Adiv, Melody and the Olympic.
I really was looking forward to my stay here and wasn't disappointed. The other hotels have very large breakfast buffets and the first day you think it's amazing. By the third day I can't stand to look at them as they are always the same. The Shalom goes to the effort of having something on the buffet a bit different from the day before. The food is fresh, appetising and tasty. You can order eggs, omelettes and coffee as you wish. The bonus here too is that you have Simmone as your hostess. She has a delightful personality and makes everyone feel as welcome as they would in her own home.

I complained on my last trip that the bathroom lighting was too dark. The manager Eti promised it would be fixed by my next trip. True to her word it was! Any hotel, restaurant, cabin crew take their lead from the manager. It is clear all the staff here follow Eti's lead admirably.

The rooms are small to medium but very comfortably furnished and are spotlessly clean.
I can't praise this hotel highly enough.

Room Tip: i am not interested in seeing the view from my room anywhere I stay. I just want a quiet room. For t...

I stayed at the Shalom Hotel & Relax for the 2nd time this August. It is friendly, small and clean. The breakfast is terrific, the location is perfect and the perks are lovely. I much prefer staying at this lovely boutique hotel to the large "luxury" hotel right on the beach where I stayed a few days later.

We have just arrived home after a two-day quick break at the Shalom & Relax - our third visit there this year. Each time it's even better than the time before. We feel that each member of the staff knows us and, even more important, cares that we have a good experience. From the moment we walk through the doors, the atmosphere of the lobby, and the welcoming smile on the face of whoever happens to be on reception, make us feel in holiday mood. We were at the hotel for only 2 nights this time, but feel as if we'd been there for five, and are looking forward to another return visit as soon as possible.
Keep up the good work, Shalom & Relax Hotel, we recommend you all the time to our friends for the rooms, breakfasts, roof-top garden, furnishings & decoration - just like an English country-house - and warm, friendly service.
