The Diaghilev, LIVE ART Suites Hotel

This is the second time we stayed at the Diaghilev...and it was as wonderful as the first time. My son got married in Tel Aviv in June and we stayed at the Diaghilev once again. Not only did we stay there, but friends and family as well. In total, we had 7 rooms there, as well another 2 at The Rothschild, which was amazing as well. We've stayed at so many hotels over the years but none that had the warmth, services and location as The Diaghilev and Rothschild. The accommodations were great. recommendations for dinner etc. spot on, and the location of both places are perfect. It all starts with the entire staff( Yasmin handled all reservations and was so accomodating). From the greeting we received when we arrived, to the smiles everyone had, they couldn't have been more attentive to every detail!!! This is true of the entire staff. The restaurant at the Rothschild was beyond description...not only the food and drinks but the warmth of the room as well. All we can say is we will be back many times. The location is perfect( you feel like you're living in a quiet area of Tel Aviv with restaurants, cafes right around the corner). Neve Tzedek which is a really cool area with great restaurants and shops, is only a 15 minute walk away. I could go on and on. The bottom line is that The Diaghilev is a great place to stay...if you like great service, location, accommodations, etc. Same with The Rothschild!!! I could write another 5 paragraphs but I won't. Stay at either place( or both). You will be soooooo happy you did.

We got to stay in this terrific place, with a huge beautiful room - kitchenette - living room & very very comfy beds.
The bar was fun, and although a bit pricey (and w/o those amazing Israeli breakfasts), highly recommended.
It's right near the fab Rothschild Blvd too with lots of eateries & bars.
The only catch was...once we got there & wanted to stay for a few days more, the owner was immovable on the rate -- e.g., confirming our same rate for a 6-day stay.
So, we only stayed two nights - much to their lack of income as our disappointment. Go figure.

The staff in the Diaghilev is what one normally expects with a very good 5 star hotel and not often found in Israel. The Hotel is spacious and beautifully decorated and in a very central location. Parking is not the best but is possible though the only minor drawback from the hotel. The rooms are enormous and are spotlessly clean. There is a very nice open foyer with an enclosed terrace which has wifi coverage to sit out and relax

Room Tip: talk with the staff !

I stayed here one night between finishing a tour of Israel and heading out on a business trip. The staff were super friendly and the room was spacious, comfortable and decorated with contemporary art. I wish I had more time to spend at this hotel.

We just stayed at this hotel for two nights. We arrived our first night in Israel and we were warmly welcomed by Karen, the receptionist. After a long flight from the US, it was a very pleasant start to our vacation. We were upgraded to a suite, which had a separate small bedroom, but a large living room area with a couch and kitchenette with a small refrigerator, and a safe (two important features for us). (No Nespresso machine as mentioned in other reviews - that would be an extra charge.) The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet area - another plus. However, it is within two blocks of Rothschild Boulevard, which is full of restaurants, a great gelato store and lots of activity. There is a parking lot under the hotel. You must make reservations and there is a nominal charge ($15) per night. It was very convenient and we felt, very reasonable compared to NYC parking. I will warn you that there is no sign on the exterior with the hotel's name, so you have to look for the street number on the building.

I recently stayed at this hotel and i found the staff very receptive and warm. From the time we checked they were able to advise us about good restaurants and places to go. The live entertainment at the restaurant downstairs sealed our stay - and it was so personal too. The rooms were clean and their wifi is excellent! I would stay there again!

The Diaghilev is a bohemian boutique hotel that offers an extraordinary and exceptional cultural experience intensified by an excellent personal service. The hotel features an art gallery exhibiting over 500 artworks that change every 6 months, unique and mostly radical decor items, a collection of hand made rugs from all over the universe, most of which are ancient and therefore reflect the aged cultures they originate from. The uniqueness of the hotel brought it into prominence among internationally acknowledged artist visiting Tel Aviv and the world of technology and start-up. Many employees of the leading corporations in the world choose the Diaghilev as their base in Tel Aviv. Built in the purest Bauhaus the Diaghilev invites its guests to experience a World Cultural Heritage site rich of hundreds of Bauhaus buildings and get a taste of the “White City.” Our uncommon nocturnal concept was designed taking account of a recent scientific research that showed evidence that black beddings cause intensive production of Melatonin hormone, which results in deeper sleep, stronger immune system and increased anti-aging effect. The Diaghilev is an eco-friendly hotel, committed to a continually expanding list of operating practices that aim to maintain minimal environmental impact. The toiletries at the Diaghilev are of outstanding quality. They are produced from natural materials created from plants cultivated for this purpose in the hills of Jerusalem. These products are produced and packaged at a small factory that employs people with disabilities and integrates them into the labor market. Our creativity-support concept lead to the establishment of the HUB - a shared work environment that is more than a physical workplace for creative entrepreneurs: It is designed to nurture a community in which creators will be able to collaborate with one another in order to produce innovative projects and initiatives. ... more   less
