On arrival at the Diaghilev we were welcomed with big smiles. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a better room, or should I say apartment, clean and nicely decorated with a large balcony. Juice, water and biscuits were in the room on arrival, and one evening we arrived back to find a bottle of Cava waiting for us....these little things make such a difference.
The room was perfectly quiet at night (I am a light sleeper and slept right thru"), hot water plentiful, and excellent aircon.
Suggestions by the staff for dinners were perfect with all the necessary arrangements made by reception staff.
Perfectly located, we walked our feet off, and saw many of the sights.
A great suggestion for breakfast, and in my opinion better than Benedicts was the Cafe Birenbaum on the corner of Nachalit Binyamin and Gruzenberg (15minutes slow walk from the hotel)....great coffee, great breakfasts, and great vegetarian buffet lunch.
Next year in Tel Aviv........at the Diaghilev

We have just returned from a 2 week tour of Israel, and by far our best hotel experience was at the Diaghilev. We chose it because of the great reviews on tripadvisor, and it fully lived up to its reputation. The accommodations are spacious and bright, the staff is gracious and helpful, the location is convenient and allowed us to walk to wherever we wanted. Our 2 young adult children appreciated getting their indiviidual rooms in our large unit. The extra touches of juice, cookies, wine were well appreciated.

Room Tip: We loved the balcony that was part of our unit.

We stayed here on our first night in Israel. Its located in a wonderful neighborhood that provides a plethora of small eateries.

The rooms are clean and the front desk ladies are extremely helpful.......the artwork was pretty cool. Pleasant atmosphere.

This is not a large western style hotel.

This is my second visit to this hotel in the last year and it is consistently fabulous! Front desk staff are friendly, helpful and warm. They know and love Tel Aviv and Israel and share their "insider" knowledge and passion freely. Restaurant and other recommendations are unfailingly great. The hotel is on a quiet street, very well-run and clean. The accommodations are comfortable and stylish. More than ample space is allocated for clothes storage and you are not tripping over your luggage because the rooms are very large and well appointed. You might wish to consider getting a room with a balcony in the warmer season....it is very pleasant. Serviceable kitchenette has just what you need - dishes, hot plate and small fridge. The hotel has no restaurant but many coffee shops and restaurants are within half a block.....your coffee is still piping hot when you return to the balcony. A well-priced gem.

Thank you for choosing staying with us once more, and for writing your
kind opinion!
As a returning guest, you may have noticed we are always striving to
improve our services and facilities level. For this reason, we have
started building an indoor coffee shop, for the comfort of our guests,
which will be operating within a few month.
You have cleverly recommended reserving a room with a balcony, which is
the best "insider" tip possible. In the Mediterranean breeze, a balcony
can make the difference between a good vacation to a great one.
You are more than encouraged to come back to the hotel and enjoy great
Israeli coffee in the new "Diaghilev" café, or in the privacy of your
balcony.

Warm regards,
The Diaghilev Team

Tel Aviv is a difficult choice for families. You could take two rooms in the expensive hotels by the beach or try to find a decent apartment (good luck!) This hotel offers excellent family accommodation with separate rooms and loads of space. The Hotel is in a great location just off Rothschild Boulevard-live and feel like a local and experience Tel Aviv from a different perspective. Eat in great nearby restaurants or explore the city by bike. The Staff live up to their reputation-they will find you a great local restaurant and make the booking! Very quiet rooms and an overall good experience. I recommend this place to my friends.

Room Tip: Choose a family room and not two separate rooms if a family of four

Thank you for recommending "The Diaghilev" both online and to your
friends! We appreciate your lovely words, and are looking forward to
your next visit in Tel-Aviv!
As you mentioned, the hotel is extremely friendly for families - We
offer two room options which are specially targeted to accommodate
families, and work with a verity of capable babysitters, carefully picked
for your piece of mind.
The hotel's staff is also happy to advise you of great activities for
children and teens, both outside of Tel-Aviv and in proximity to the
hotel - All in an effort to provide the entire family with an Israeli
experience to remember!

Best regards,
The Diaghilev Team
