the experience was tainted by the rip off nature of the place.

So two adults and a 17 and 15 yo family arrive. Apparently we all have to have mixed Israeli salads and dips to start. Then fish is sold by 500g multiples and each serving has to be 500g and if we don't want to order 4 x 500 g which comes to about 580 shekels or like well over $150 then we have to pay 45 shekels for the starters which we cant decline foreach person that does not order a portion of fish. Very complicated and a total rip off.

And then they charged us in the bill for the bread rolls we did not ask for...

We had a coupon for an extended breakfast in their restaurant in Herzliya Pituach.
On the coupon were written the exact items from the menu that they have to serve.
Being there, we received a few tinny mini-plates with almost nothing inside, like half soon of tahini ,white cheese, icra, 2 eggs and a bowl of salad with no dressing.
Asked for olive oil but never got it. Were missing: smoked salmon, lakerda ,fish marinada, the olives and the Bulgarian cheese.
We asked for all this but the rude waiter said that they are out of these items. If they were out ,why didn't he said right from the beginning ,maybe we could come in an other day!!
The service was awful, actually there was no service.
Do not buy coupons from this thief ,even if it looks good but you do not get nothing for your money.

By the sea it has a very nice atmosphere. Staff is quite friendly, appetizers are free of charge if you order a main course and very tasty. We've ordered a grouper for 4 as the main course and it was delicious!!! Vine menu was adequate. I would recommend it to anyone:-)

7 of us wandered in and had dinner here without reservations and thought we had landed in heaven. The fish was wonderful, the salads plentiful and the service could not have been better. In deference to those noting they did not speak Hebrew, we had one of us who could so perhaps that matters, who knows, but our server was pretty fluent in English anyway.

My experience here was awhile ago, so take my comments with a grain of salt. II mostly wanted to note that TA also lists ":Benny the Fisherman" in the Old Tel Aviv Port as a separate, and much higher rated restaurant. Check those postings out too, because its the same place, just translated.

This is not the best restaurant by far that we ate in Tel Aviv. It is very serviceable, and located right at the Tel Aviv port. Good salads to start with and some well prepared fish as well. We had grilled sea wolf and it was very tasty. Great view of the port, excellent people watching, and good value. If money is no object, go to Market Kitchen. If you are seeking value, Benny Hadayag certainly fits to bill.
