This hotel is not bad for the price, taking in consideration how expensive Tel Aviv is. Staff was great and helpfull. Location is good if you are into bars. There is a market near by an the breakfast cafe is great. There is no lobby, so if your flight arrives very early in the morning be prepared to hang out at the terrace which it can be very cold. So make sure you have your coat.

I needed was a sleep-over before meeting my Pilgrimage group at
Ben Gurion Airport the next day. I'll admit arriving at midnight in a
taxi made me wonder if I had arrived at a real dump. But voila,
it proved dinky, yet cozy and clean. When daylight
struck, I saw a delightfully painted & refurbished hotel in the
neighborhood of renovation and renewal. The breakfast ticket lead
me on a walk down Tel Aviv to the most pleasant restaurant.

The Galileo hotel clerk, an investment guru extraordinaire, gave me the most
gracious welcome. I had a huge shiner from my fall in Athens. He
wasn't threatened by my appearance and merely asked about my
fall. This visit turned into a most pleasant experience.

Let's look on the bright side first, the location and breakfast are AWESOME! There are many great restaurants and Cafes around and the beach is a short walk away. If you don't spend much time in this hotel then maybe it is passable. We spent 4 nights here mostly because the prices seemed way more reasonable than the other outrageous Tel Aviv hotel prices. We had the "superior room with spa tub". There was nothing superior about it and the spa tub was so old and beat up I was grossed out to use it. This place is old, rundown, and smelly. The staff are always at the computer and could care less about helping you but they do help if you ask persistently. Overall, you can do better than this dump. Sorry Galileo.

The hotel is located close to Carmel Market - one of the must sees in Tel Aviv. Everything else in the city is in walking distance. The rooms are small but good. Right next door is a nice beer bar which does not disturb your sleep even though it is that close.

Like this hotel, great value for money and confortable. Stayed only one night. A little far from the north beach area of tel aviv (30 mins walk) if we had stayed longer perhaps would have been willing to pay more for location.
