“Great boutique hotel with top location and exzellent service”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

The Savoy Hotel is 1 minute walking distance to the beach. Within some minutes by feet you can further reach Carmel Market, Neve Tzadek etc. The rooms are small but very modern and clean. Just want to highlight the friendly and very helpful staff! During the day they offer coffee and croissants. Price / quality is fair as most hotels in Tel Aviv are overpriced and the big names take more than double in price.  We enjoyed five nights during our stay in Tel Aviv and this as a “must to be” when you are looking for a friendly and comfortable boutique hotel in TLV !

My friends and I flew to Tel Aviv from the United States, arriving in late afternoon. We checked into the hotel which is a block from the Mediterranean. After a walk and early dinner we went to bed and awoke refreshed. The rooms were spartan but the beds were very good. All we needed. The breakfast was well prepared and all one could want. Nothing fancy but more than adequate. We would return again.

This hotel has a great location for visiting Tel Aviv. One half block from the beach and boardwalk. Halfway between Jaffa and the Port; both within walking distance. There are many affordable restaurants in the area. The breakfast was typical Israeli. Coffee was available 24/7. The staff was very accomodating. The room was small but nice. Being from North America we are used to big rooms in a hotel, but it was fine: modern, colorful, with a small balcony. And totally quiet all the time.

This hotel really surprised us after staying at the Harmony Hotel in Jerusalem. Rooms were larger with better amenities and we had a nice bathroom which included small amenities like a nespresso machine in the room. The maid service did little extras like fold items and actually move items to clean.

The staff was very helpful and when my sister met me in the lobby they asked her while she waited to have a coffee and snack. When I walked in with a wine bottle they asked if they could open it and gave me two glasses.

This is not a five star hotel but the service and dont expect a bar and room service but no need to spend the extra money as this place offered your basic needs at an outstanding level. We will definitely be back here!!

Lovely small hotel, very near the sea, nicely done up. Friendly helpful staff - relaxed atmosphere.
The only public space is the lobby where breakfast is eaten, but it's comfortable and the breakfast is varied and good quality. The rooms are small but adequate and the beds are great.

Room Tip: The best rooms on any floor are 1 and 2, which have sideways balcony view towards the sea.

It is not 4-5 star hotel, but a strange hybrid of run down bed and breakfast and government-run facility . Rooms are tiny and dingy, towels/bedding are not clean. Location is on one of the unsafe side streets, and though advertised as non- smoking, it reeks of cigarettes at night. The management team consists of two old ladies who just sit in the lobby and speak loudly in Hebrew to each other for hours. Neither of them speak even decent English, and both are very rude. Though the front desk staff was generally helpful, the clerk who worked day shift on Sunday February 24 kept harassing me to pay my bill in advance, even though my check out day was the next day. He would not leave me alone during breakfast, and even followed me to the elevator. He was very aggressive , his English was very poor. The only saving grace was the kitchen crew. I travel internationally on business all the time, never stayed at the Savoy franchise before, and now I will make sure I never will again.

I stayed here on business as the crowne plaza was full. Not impressed.
Dirty bed sheet
Dirty bathroom
Unable to lock balcony doors
My bag was go.e through on the first day
Room safe was broken
Gym was two streets away and seemed smaller than my hotel room
The breakfast area was in the reception

2.5 - 3 star
