Simple lunch restaurant in the middle of Tel Aviv.
There is no menu, you pick what you like on the plate.
As simple as "what you see is what you get".

Evidently the "busy time" is lunch time... I went for dinner and there wasn't really a 'menu choice' to be had. The chef and his wife (very nice folks - she speaks English) essentially cook a selection of dishes, and that's what's on the menu at that time. So, what was 'left' for me was a Chicken Tikka, which was in fact very good. So - as they suggested I need to return for lunch. The food is very good, the price is very, very low, and there's only one major negative: the place has all the ambiance of a tool shed - and almost as much dirt.

This place is a real find. The food is delicious. It was a sort of "worker's restaurant" that serves Indian food from a fixed menu. The very friendly owner just puts everything you choose from what he has freshly prepared that day, on one plate. There's spicy vegetables, rice, lentils, various curries and accompaniments.
And it was such a reasonable price. 36 Shekels for a meat meal and 34 Shekels for a vegetarian meal.

This restaurant serves the best curry I've ever had with excellent and friendly service. I can't recommend it too highly.

The portions are very generous as well as tasting superb and there is a real variety of accompaniments included in a very reasonable price. There is plenty for vegetarians and the meat is kosher.

This restaurant is open mainly for lunch but ours was a very late lunch and we were made to feel like our time was their time!
(PS Don't be put off by the basic decor.)
