A very good, authentic Italian restaurant.

Located on Rothschild Bvd, in downtown Tel Aviv, it is a great place to go on Friday afternoons to watch the world go by.

There is outdoor and indoor seating. The view is that of Rothschild Bvd, and the people who walk by.

The food is excellent (no meat), and the pizza is very tasty, with lots of toppings.

There is also good wine and beer.

I would recommend it for friends, couples. If you arrive right on lunch time or dinner time, it may be hard to get a table. So arrive a bit outside of the busy times, ie, busy times are between 12-1 and 6-7.

Service is good.

A great place to take visitors to Israel.

The first time we got there was when we walked down Rothschild ave and we saw the place. We got inside and were surprised, the place is small but they were able to find us a table, the food was excellent and the service was friendly. We enjoyed the Antipasti and the Pasta.
The second time we came was with our teenage girls and again they service was very friendly and helpful. The pasta with Gorgonzola cheese was a bit too strong for my girl and immediately they offered to exchange to another pasta with cream sauce which was excellent.
We left the place with a big smile, knowing we will return again soon.

I arrived with my partner at around 5pm to Allora, which has a nice interior design and friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately my seafood pasta was a huge disappointment - undercooked (not al dente! actually undercooked!) with 3 mussels and 2 prawns representing the seafood part, it was completely drowned in cream and lacked any seasoning except salt. My partner's Balkan pizza was a 4 on 1-10 scale with the cheapest cheese and four slices of aubergine on the top. However the red wine was nice and we settled on sharing the pizza as the pasta was not eatable at all. When we asked for the bill, the waitress cleared our table without a single question regarding my not touched plate or anything else. When we tried to leave a tip of 5 percent on top of the bill - just as a courtesy to the waitress - she came back and pointed out that it is common to leave 10 percent tip. Once explained that the food was bad and I did not eat it (which she should have noticed already as there were only four tables with guests in the restaurant at this point of time), she said that she was not the one who cooked and did not even attempt to remove the dish from the bill nor to say sorry. Instead she called for the manager. All in all disappointing after an initially good impression.

I ate at Allora today. Antipasti were excellent and not overly cooked, salted or greasy as many places do. The lamb cannelloni were excellent, as was the tiramisu in the end. Only the espresso was unfortunately weak and that's in a city with some of the best cafe in the world at every corner.
Service is a bit slow but otherwise good. Ambiance is very pleasant with nice music at un-intrusive volume -- a rarity these days. Overall an excellent experience and I shall return there.
