The best seafood meal my friend and I have ever eaten. We decided on this restaurant as it was busy and on a lovely tree lined street.
The staff were very attentive and helpful. The flatbreads and dips were delicious and great to tuck into as you browsed the menu. My friend had the seafood soup for starter and said it was amazing, I had the seafood and mushroom risotto and it was a huge portion for a starter but every mouthful was superb. Lots of fresh squid, prawns and mussels, with a variety of different mushrooms in a deliciously creamy sauce.
For main course we had the seafood platter, which was one of the specials I think. A large square plate was brought to us covered in all kinds of seafood cooked in a variety of ways. Soft shell crab, more crab, breadcrumbed calamari, calamari in sauce, mussels in sauce, scallop skewers, delicious and huge prawns. Every mouthful was a taste sensation. There was more than enough for two and the different sauces and cooking methods meant you never got bored or had the same taste twice.
The wine list was decent and we had a bottle of Israeli sparkling white wine, which was good.
The ambience, location, friendly staff were all great but were overshadowed by the truly amazing and delicious food. We are so glad we stumbled across Dolphin Yam, it was the best seafood meal we have ever eaten by a mile. All I can say is - please go! You will not be disappointed...
