“Interesting restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2010

Hidden, upstairs interesting restaurant. The food is somewhat secondary, but worth going for the atmosphere. Laid back, casual, full of young people, but oldsters are welcomed also. Good for relaxing and if you're lucky, they'll be a famous American writer giving a reading.

“Delightful used bookstore cafe, tucked into a court yard.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2010

We followed a sign on the pedestrian area pointing down an alleyway to an open court yard. Up some stairs and we found Tmol Shilshom. This a modest priced, casual, funky tea room with Mediteranian food.
We would definately return to this cozy spot with good food.

“Mellow, cool vibe cafe, casual”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2010

Adventurous and ambitious menu for a cafe. Variety of pastas, sandwiches, soups, salads. All tasty for a nice, casual evening out. Open til midnight!

Fair prices. Love the bookstore ambiance and indoor/outdoor seating options. Great location on side streets of central Downtown Jerusalem. They have lots of activities - poetry readings, book club meetings, author signings, etc.
Only MAJOR downside was the service. Nice people, but my dad's entree came after we were all finished, they forget 1/2 the beverages, etc.

Would have happily returned.

“Good food, good vibe in an interesting area”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2010

We were a group of 9 - two families with 5 kids aged 9 - 15. Food was interesting (and kosher) - the adults shared a few dishes and the kids enjoyed a variety of pastas. My son was happy for the free WiFi so he could catch up with friends via his iPod Touch. The decor is eclectic with book lined walls and candles. I noticed lots of brochures about upcoming cultural and music events in Jerusalem.
