“A personal favorite”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

Small and intimate, this corner restaurant is as close to the "favorite little place in the neighborhood" as you can get. Whenever we are in Jerusalem for dinner, we return here time and again and are never disappointed. The meats are excellent, the sauces superb and the fish dishes are as good as any you will find in the city. Easy walking distance from the major hotels.

“Authentic Italian cuisine, in an intimate family setting”
Reviewed March 24, 2012 via mobile

Dinner was excellent, from salad to pasta to fish to meat.

Room is small and spare but impeccably clean.

Service was professional, unobtrusive and friendly (our hosts were well-acquainted with the owner).

Prices were high, but in line with other top restaurants in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.

In some ways, dinner felt as though we were eating in a private club or home. The owner opened the front door for each arriving party; each table had one set of diners for the whole evening; the restaurant is located on a quiet commercial street. Just the opposite of many Jerusalem restaurants -- a very pleasant and enjoyable change.

“Never again”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

Terrible experiance. 1. No service at all. They would not let you in if you come 25 min. before the announced closing hour for buisness lunch. Because: guess what:" the kitchen is already closed". 2. No parking.

“good food. not good enough...”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

cielo has been around for years, We went back because we did not remember why we gave up on this beautiful little restaurant. The thing is, it is nothing to write home about. Everything was good, nothing was interesting or fantastic.

“Not worth the money”
Reviewed January 14, 2012

We heard a lot about this restaurant and were disappointed. The food was very simple. Only one dish (the fillet mignon in balsamic sauce) was worth the money. We sent back to the kitchen one of the four dishes we ordered, so did the diners that set in the table closest to us. A lot of tourists come to this restaurant so the menus are in English and the waitresses, who are very welcoming, speak very good English.
