“Interesting historical site”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Really fun to be seeing a man-made hill where you can live inside. We enjoyed seeing the place inside and out. Be warned that it can be hard to bring a stroller, and that bringing a wheel chair around basically is not possible.

Great view from the top.

Good little trip from Jerusalem.

“Great archeological site”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

It was one of King Herod's palaces and sites in the area of Jerusalem, in the last years the mausoleum was located, but the site is very impressive, and if possible, do make a point in visiting it, for the impressive location and all what was built there.

“King Herod Place of Safety”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

This is the place where King Herod took safety from his enemies. Even though King Herod was a mad man, this place is an architecture wonderland. A must visit to appreciate history and architecture genius designs.

“Great history and views of the West Bank”
Reviewed November 13, 2012 via mobile

This place is well worth a taxi ride from Bethlehem to explore the history of Herod. Also to get great panoramic views of the West Bank as far as the Dead Sea. Some steep walking and 27 shekels entry - be warned
