My daughter and I just spent six days at the Prima Royale Hotel. This is a newly refurbished hotel that was previously known as the Windmill. We couldnt have been more pleased with the location for the price we paid. We received a good deal at an internet website that made this stay extremely affordable. Taking that into account, we found the room well kept and newly decorated in an italian modern style. As previous reviews noted, the twin beds were narrower than American counterparts, but we slept comfortably during our stay. The room is small, but this is common of hotel rooms in Jerusalem, as I have stayed in several others that were not that much bigger, but charged alot more. The bathroom had all new fixtures using Jerusalem stone throughout. The front desk was helpful and allowed us to check in hours early. Whenever we needed directions, a cab or recommendations, they made themselves available to us. The breakfast was a typical Israeli breakfast that offered several buffet choices . This hotel is within several blocks walk to the center of town and many good restaurants. It is also within an easy walk to the Old City and the Western Wall. If you need to stay in a hotel, and are traveling on a budget, I would recommend the Prima Royale.
