Hotel Prima Royale
Ranked #29 of 100 Hotels in Jerusalem
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Our entire family (19 people) just spent 10 days at the Prima Royale for our daughter's wedding (Mazel tov!) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a boutique feel, warm lobby, very responsive staff and nice rooms (though a touch on the small side). As you would imagine with a group of 19 from age 6 to 81, we had alot of unforeseen requests....an extra mattress in the room, dinner reservations, private room for make-up and hair prep the day of the wedding, special parking spots...etc... All of our requests were met with a smile and enthusiasm. HANI, the dining room manager was especially helpful on everything that we needed! I would happily recommend this hotel....and it is in a great location near the old city and Ben Yehuda St.

Room Tip: There are two rooms on all floors (503 & 504 as an example) that can be joined as a 2 room suite...

From the check-in, to the dining room, to the rooms, this hotel is a must. The staff are so friendly, and the service was exceptional. It is in a great location and walking distance to shopping and many attractions. The buffet breakfast and dinner were absolutely wonderful. The food was great, lots of choices for every pallet! There's a little boutique in the main lobby, and the guy is A+!!! There's a computer room with easy access!

Stayed there for a couple of days. The lobby staff were extremely nice and very helpful. Positives:
- loved the glasses of juice upon entrance (nice touch)
- the room was great (a bit small, but all you really need unless you're going to stay there more than a week
- 24-hour store and great pizza place right around the corner (would have liked to have been closer to Mahena Yehuda or busier area for other shops, etc.. . . however, everything was ~15-20 min. walking distance)
- breakfast was very good. . plenty of options and could also eat outside (piano was a nice touch)
- fantastic rooftop bar and lounge area for nightime
- took the bus/trip to Dead Sea and Massada right from the hotel, worked out great (Rent-a-Guide was thumbs up!)

For the price this was a fantastic value. My family in Israel also highly recommended this place.

This is a boutique hotel of about 130 rooms. The rooms are typically small, but modern and well furnished. The breakfasts and dinners are outstanding, and a friendly staff. Clean. Located just off the Keren Hayasod street, but in an upscale residential area called Rechavia.
It's always best to book half-board as eating at restauants can be very expensive in Jerusalem, and Israel in general.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet. No advantage to one over the other, except if you choose to upgrade to a suite...

The Prima Royale is in an excellent location - right near some of the more expensive hotels like the King David, David Citadel and Inbal. We had a very reasonably priced deluxe room that was clean, comfortable, and complete with bathrobes and slippers.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We had two dinners at the hotel including a Friday night shabbat dinner which was excellent.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended and you will save a lot of money..

I came back very late from a distant Bar Mitzvah party and was pleased to arrive in my luxuriously made up room with every little touch considered from bath robes, to fresh fruit in a bowl. How could they have known that I had not eaten much at the BM (I'd been talking with friends and just forgetten to eat)? A light bite of fruit was just what I needed. How could the hotel have realised that I hadn't brought water with me? - a large bottle was provided. Bath robes, slippers, every last little detail attended to and then a huge, soft bed that I quickly fell asleep in. I awoke later on to hear muffled snoring in an adjacent room (I suppose the hotel I'd stayed in earlier in Jerusalem had spoiled me, as it had sound-proofing). Equally, there was a very lively conversation in the morning which was a touch intrusive - but then it was shortly before I had to check out. Breakfast was a sumptuous feast and I appreciated the choice of tables which included small ones suitable for singles or couples (a discreet touch for a solo visitor like me - I do like my space). I could then read the complimentary paper they provided and spend an age over coffee (something I value when on a break away). Overall, this is a very good hotel. I didn't get to use the gym however - the hours seemed very odd (closing at 10:00 am and not opening again until late in the afternoon). Otherwise the service was fine - considering how busy it was in Jerusalem at that time (Succot).

Room Tip: If you can get a room that is sound-proofed (the echoey halls make banging doors sound much louder...
