“what a relief!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2011

Three night stay after tiring trip. Room was non-smoking, very clean, absolutely comfortable. Central heating system kept room cozy. Food service was excellent. Refrig in room; safe in closet; big screen tv;WiFi access in room reliable and inexpensive.Every staffer I encountered was professional, helpful, and actually cheerful! After sleep recovery, the venture on foot was easy - the downtown shopping, restaurants, and of course the Old City - within a few minutes walk. (They gave me a map )The musician at buffet breakfast was accomplished and open to requests. The whole experience was such a relief and a real treat. Thanks!

I stayed one night at the Prima Royal in Jerusalem and I will definitely come back.
The front desk service was fast and very friendly. The room was very well equipped with flat screen TV and it was very clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a guy playing on a piano with huge food Selection. A GREAT DEAL. I will strongly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask a upper level room 6th floor and higher.

Given the room rate and that I had paid for an additional upgrade (not a lot of $, but completely not worth it for just a fruit plate consisting of apples, a chocolate, and bathrobes, so avoid), I was a bit disappointed.
The room is clean, quiet and OK, but definitely just average and I found it to be rather small for two people. The hotel I stayed in next, in Tel Aviv, felt HUGE in comparison.

The location is OK, but not exactly central. I don't mind walking, but getting lost seems to run in my genes. And the customer service isn't all that great. I didn't find that the staff was especially friendly (though not rude) and their English language skills were not impressive. I tried speaking Hebrew with them, but my language skills aren't all the impressive either. I think that hotel staff should be completely fluent in English given that they are dealing with many tourists who know no Hebrew at all.

I really liked the breakfast room. The pianist made it really stand out. Unfortunately I didn't feel well, so I couldn't really enjoy breakfast as much as I had wished I could, but it looked nice enough -- and the room is quite beautiful.

If you stay in this hotel, you're not going to run into any serious issues or be upset, but there are better hotels for the price.

We had the premium upgrade and for the price I was very disappointed. The room was very small, okay for a single. The underground parking garage was a challenge for anything more than a bicycle. Would look elsewhere next time. breakfast was plenteous but very little taste.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel

Location quite good - just 20 minutes walking distance from Old City of Jerusalem. The district where is the hotel located is quiet. In contrary to Arabic quarter of Jerusalem.

Room size a little cozy for 2 persons (abt. 13-14 sq.m). Breakfast quite wide menu but taste not good as elsewhere in Israel.

Staff - quite rough but tried to be friendly. When I asked for some travel information, like tours to Dead Sea or Masada, or rate for taxi or renting a car the staff gave me either wrong answer or they just didn't know.

Therefore, my advise is take good guide for Jerusalem and find good map for the city. What you get in the hotel or in Tourist information is some sort of misleading. Maps are big problem for the city.

The hotel room was laid out in such a way that the parents and children (two in our case, ages 8 and 6) each had our own space. The room wasn't huge, but it was comfortable. Each day the hotel staff put snacks in our room. The bathroom was relatively large and had a tub (which, I discovered, is not often the case in Israel or Europe). The breakfast was outstanding! There must have been at least 50 things to choose from, and they were good. I was impressed enough to take the time to tell the hotel manager that I really liked our stay here at the end of it (sadly, only two nights).

We booked this hotel for our daughter, who was coming in from NY for Succot, Tabernacles. (Hila, the manager, was very cooperative with our travel agent). We, the parents, were going to stay with a friend and eat meals at the hotel. When we got to our apartment, the key did not fit and we did not know what to do. We went over to the hotel and explained the situation to Taha at the Concierges Desk, and he was most helpful. We slept in the room and our daughter went to her sister.
We found the room clean and modern and the bathroom updated and spotless. They kept the dining room open late and those who went to sevices were able to eat breakfast in the succah. We had a delicious lunch, even getting whole wheat items when they weren't on the table.
Would recommend this hotel, which is "down the block" from the center of town for its hospitality and courtesy.
