Grand Court Hotel
Ranked #41 of 102 Hotels in Jerusalem

We stayed for the weekend. Hotel is located close to major traffic arteries and only ten minutes walk from the Old City of Jerusalem. We were disappointed to discover that, although the hotel pretending to be 5 star hotel, then at most appropriate rating is 4 stars. Food is mediocre and the rooms are not very large. Swimming pool is very small and disappointing, more suitable as a pool in a private house. Bit amateurish service and negligent.

Average hotel and nothing more.

We stayed with a group. The airconditioning in many of the rooms did not work. We had to leave our window open at night to cool the room down so we could sleep. The dining room was very chaotic to say the least. Packed with people pushing and shoving in line to eat. The food was not that good and several in our group including myself got sick from the food. The location is good, but I would choose another hotel.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel.

We stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel was conveniently located, only 15 minutes walk away from Old Jerusalem and Notre Dame Center, tram and bus station. Customer Relations staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to facilitate our stay. The rooms were very comfortable and delivered more than we expected for its price. Bathrooms were clean and the bedroom was spacious and quiet. Lifts are modern and fast. Food was more than adequate. Staff are friendly and efficient. Can't ask for more.

This is a great place to stay while visiting Jerusalem. It is close to the Old City ( ten minute walk ) for shopping and the Hop on Hop off bus pick up is only up the street one block, also the tram. We really enjoyed staying here again. Good prices and free parking. We'll be back again!

Since my husband and I were tour leaders (26 people all together in our group), we were given a suite for the four nights we stayed in Jerusalem -- a king size bed and separate sitting/living room with sofa, table and chairs and TV. It was incredibly spacious and very relaxing after a long day of touring. If there's any way to get a room like this, we would highly recommend it.

The rest of our experience was pretty average for a hotel that caters to tour groups. Front desk staffers were sometimes overwhelmed with requests and did not always respond in a timely fashion. (We had a lot of problems with our room key upon check in, for example, and it took more time than we would have liked to get it resolved.) The dining room was indeed chaotic, but this being our fifth tour to Israel it was not unexpected. The food itself was plentiful and probably a bit above average. The pool wasn't open and we didn't take advantage of the bar/lobby area, but both looked like they'd be quite relaxing and enjoyable. We also didn't go out much at night, but the short walk to the Old City and nearness to the new light rail tramway is also an advantage.

Just one "heads up" about rooms. Some on the higher floors do not have good access to the elevator because of a strange U-shaped configuration. If you have mobility issues, make sure to request one near the elevator.

Not much to add that other reviews haven't already lamented. The food is terrible. Meals are packed with tourists fighting over horrible food. The rooms are mediocre at best. Our group had 15 rooms and 12 had broken AC. You are likely staying here because you booked a group tour and the company stuck you here. If that's the case, grin and bear it. Be glad you are in the Holy City.

But, if you do have a choice.....run away!

We recently stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group through MSC Cruises. THe hotel is nice enough but when I found a dirty Towel behind my Bathroom Door it kind of told me they don't care as much as they should. I was disgusted. My Husband of course yelled and had every right to do so. If you want to call yourselves star you might want to start with housekeeping doing thier job, then make the restaurant something more than a buffwt cafeteria. It's nice to look pretty but the inards need to work inline with the pretty look in order to make a 5 star all around.

Room Tip: Make sure it is properly cleaned
