“Excellent service and location”

This is an excellent tour hotel. Short walk to Damascus Gate to Old City. Food greatly improved over previous years. Rooms had new carpets. Bathrooms were spotless. Hallway carpets experiencing a lot of traffic and beginning to show it.

1 if you wanted to go in go out fast from the dining room at breakfast forget it you have to come in 2 hours earlier because there's a line for every thing the bred and the toaster and a big line for the coffee station and the omelet station and i had only 30 minutes its

2 nothing seems to be right if you press the button on the coffee machine it will fill half a cup if you press the button another time the cup will overflow

3 the food was average and the breakfast food was the same in every day

only the service was good all the writers and the cleaner held me

Room Tip: Terrible managment

Grand Court was an excellent choice for our group stay in Jersualem for 4 nights. The service was top notch and the rooms were beautiful. The hotel is well maintained and on a high level. Location is good, about 10-15 minute walking distance to the Old Town. Dinner was good, I believe it has a bit of a room for improvement but overall very satisfied. Will definitely stay here again when in Jerusalem. (By the way Jerusalem is an amazing city!!)

We stayed here for four nights from the 15 March, our room on the 3rd floor, was at the rear overlooking a busy road. Noise did not really bother us. The room was spacious with a kettle and fridge. Free wi-fi was a pleasant surprise. It was clean and comfortable.
Meals were the same every evening, and to be honest needs a good shakeup. Breakfast did not excite either and the que for the one coffee and tea machine boardered on the ridiculous for a hotel this size.

This turned out to be a sprawling barn of a place situated in East Jerusalem, overlooking St George’s Anglican Cathedral and near to the Damascus Gate. In UK ratings, it’s a 3-4 star hotel and seems to be used mainly by large touring groups including, whilst we were there, a number of Church groups from Asia and the USA. For us, as Protestant Christians, the hotel’s value lay in its close proximity (10 mins walk) to the Garden Tomb, which is the only Protestant holy site in Jerusalem. The Garden Tomb is a welcome breath of fresh air (literally!) after all the Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic Churches in Jerusalem which seem full of what can only be described as ‘religious bling’!

The Grand Court would best be described as a functional hotel. As it is so large, it took a long time to walk anywhere on the site, especially to the dining room. Here the selection of food was very wide. Bread was baked during each meal on the premises, iced water was brought constantly to each table but it was not easy to obtain either alcohol or soft drinks, which was a real surprise. The hotel seems to be missing a trick here? The lobby was vast but airy and beautifully sunlit. We found the staff to be very helpful indeed. Initially, we were given a room overlooking a very busy, major road junction. We asked to be moved and were given a very quiet inner room overlooking the courtyard – much better and this afforded us three excellent night’s sleep. Overall, this was a pleasant stay in a comfortable and well-run establishment.

Room Tip: An inner room overlooking the courtyard is far quieter than those on the road.

We stayed here for 3 nights in Feb 2014. Good, clean hotel. The rooms are lovely and there is free wifi everywhere. The buffet spread both for breakfast and lunch is huge. But only thing is, its the same food everyday. Especially the desserts! It was the same every night of our stay.
The staff was courteous and friendly. Our room was next to the gym. And even though I didnt use it, it looked well equipped and very clean.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Grand Court hotel for one night in March 2014.
The reception was efficient and friendly and the room spacious with comfortable beds, good linens and a nice bathroom.
The bathroom vanity has plenty of room and the shower is very hot and powerful.
The Wi-Fi is free and worked great everywhere.
The breakfast buffet , which was included, has a great variety , from an omelet and waffle station to a huge selection of cheeses, salads, yogurts, cereal, breads and pastries.
I was very impressed with how helpful the manager was when we asked if he could arrange for a special food for a toddler.
They did everything possible including filling two bottles with soup so we could have it for later.
The hotel is a short cab ride from
the old city and very close to the American Colony.
