Owner description: The Christian Quarter of Jerusalem's walled Old City holds the most important Christian church, the Holy Sepulchre, and a number of monasteries, archaeological sites, and shrines along the Via Dolorosa.

We were there for easter and it was amazing to see all the different sects of christianity celebrating. We saw an amazing ritual that I had never seen before...lighting of a handful of skinny candles held by christians from all over the world and lit by priests in long, white or black robes.

A range of faiths have their plcaes in this quarter of the Old City. It is hard to grasp but well worth trying to get a hold on centuries of tradition

The Messianic Jewish volunteers in the church were very knowledgeable and exciting to listen to as they gave their history and showed the various sites on a 3-d map of the Old City.

Everyone very friendly.
The shop keepers were kind and helpful.
No issues at all. Great visit. A must visit if you are going to the Jewish quarter. Enter through Jaffa gate

Focus on the holy sites and avoid the multitude of markets that appear to sell Christian items and you will bring to life the many lessons and stories learned throughout the years. The best way to experience this area is with a Catholic or Christian guide to help point out the numerous shrines, sites, holy places and history of the area.

People were kind, helpful and gracious throughout the walkways, shops, churches and cafes. The area was clean and felt safe both during the day, late afternoon and for a trek to Via Delorosa in early morning.
