“Definitely worth a look”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Fun area to check out.

Lots of history- make sure to go to the Holy Sepulcher- fascinating. Careful, because there is a lot of incense in this Church. The scent started to make me feel dizzy and nauseous. Definitely worth a look.

“Walk in the Footsteps of Jesus”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

Wow, I had no idea that they had the Via Dolorosa marked with each station where Jesus fell while Carrying the cross. And what an experience it was to shop in an Arab market, bargaining for better prices, finding anything from olive wood sculptures to belly dancer outfits, silver and gold jewelry making pieces, stones, and everything you can imagine. The Arab market is also the only one open on Saturday (Sabbath). So you can reserve all day that day for shopping there. It is well worth it.

“shopping”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Not as buzzing with shops as the Jewish quarter but nether the less still shops. This area leads to the final stages of the cross and to where Christ to finally crucified.

Small streets lead around some amazing buildings and even into old roman areas that have been discovered buried.

Not recommended if you have little children or a walking problem

“Great area”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

We enjoyed this area (as we did all areas of Jerusalem). The highlights to us were the shops, the VIa Dolorosa, The Order of St John Hospitaller building and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. To walk where Jesus walked was incredibly meaningful!
