Pretty church and garden with the Lord's Prayer written in hundreds of languages along the walls. A nice quick walk around the church with a quieter garden where you can meditate.

We visited a few days ago, and whilst the church and its gardens are breathtakingly beautiful, there was something that looked like five sticks of dynamite left on the church wall on the far left corner presumably overlooking Rabaa al adwaya street. They looked like empty cardboard tubes held together with black tape, and assumed it was just a kids prank; however, this is not what tourists expect to see when visiting a holy site, especially in light of recent events. It might be an idea for the custodians to keep an eye on their boundaries and check them everyday. Other than this, the church and its grounds are well worth the visit, with a small, well priced shop, and clean toilet facilities.

This pretty church is adorned with the Lord's prayer in hundreds of languages (some ancient) in gorgeous tilework all along the walls indoors and out. The grounds are well kept and decorated with a nice garden. The different languages definitely set this church apart from all the others.

I wish I had been able to spend more time at this church, but being in an organized group tour, we were shuttled in and out. I was still able to appreciate the Lord's Prayer in various languages placed all over the church and courtyard. I was impressed that there was even a couple in English and Hebrew Braille. This place is worth a visit. The Tomb of the Virgin Mary and church is nearby.
