“Great cafe”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Really very nice place with amazing view. From one side walls of The Old City, from other-Teddy's park with beautiful fontain.
The menu is full of interesting and very tasty dishes.
Staff is very friendly and professional.
Prices are not high at all.
So if you want to spend a good time with great view and high quality food this is the right place!!!!

“Excellent dairy restaurant with magnificent view”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

This is a new dairy estaurant locted in an open air terrace overlooking the Teddy Garden and the magnificent dancing fountain light show. (It is on top of Eucalyptus which is a meat restaurant under the same management.) We ate there twice this month and it is now our favorite place. The food is fresh made with fresh herbs which are grown right there on the terrace. The menu is Italian Middle Eastern. We have had the Eucalyptus pizza, the pasta rosa, the fish fillet, and roasted eggplant. Everything was fresh and service superb. Watching the dancing fountain light show is a definite plus.

“Dissapointing”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I was actually reluctant to try this place because of my bad experience(s) at Eucalyptus but I was persuaded to go and thought just the view alone would make it worthwhile.
It is almost criminal to put such a poorly run and amateurish restaurant in such beautiful surroundings
I actually left in the middle , leaving my friends to suffer through the meal and service(the girl was actually very sweet but either poorly trained or incompetent) and went to eat at the Mamilla mall
At least the prices are not the 'Tourist trap" of Eucalyptus but you will have to try harder than just lowering your prices

“The loveliest place in Jerusalem, hands down”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Placed between the old city walls, "Hutzot Hayotzer" lane and the new Tedi park, it has a great view of the city and a very authentic atmosphere. Well planned meals served with a good tale about the area - that's what we got from Chef Moshe Basson. I'm definitely coming back!

“Food and culture in view of the old city of Jerusalem”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Me and my wife have a soft spot for old Jerusalem and its historic and cultural magnificence. We often go for daily and nightly walks amidst its deep and meaningful stone allies. On our last walk my brother recommended the Esperansa near the Eucalyptus restaurant. Being patrons of the Eucalyptus we had to check it out. We really expected just a nice place with a great view of the old city.
We ordered coffee and a Focaccia Mesahen with red onion and local herbs. We got a serving of stuffed mushrooms with the most intriguing green sauce on the house. It was like Tuscany...flavorful, fresh...only better, it was in the most beautiful place in the world on a summery evening with the woman I love. The staff was nice, the food was inspiring and the atmosphere... well think 3000 year old atmosphere.
If you are in the neighborhood you have to check it out.
