If you don't need a pool or restaurant during your stay in Jerusalem, this is the hotel for you. It's just two minutes from the intensely bustling restaurants and night-life of Ben Yehudah. You'll find a spacious and clean apartment in a tastefully restored building. For 4 people (two kids/2 adults) it's surely the best value in downtown Jerusalem. Yechiel and his staff made sure we had enough of everything, including a shabbos blech, and the mini-fridge kept us going for a couple of days. Breakfast across the street at Cafe Hillel was amazing. I loved the 25 minute walk to the Kotel, while older people may find that difficult!! (yes, that's you, mom!!) Yechiel even promised to send me my forgotten Smartphone cord via airmail. Such a mentsch!! Yes, I'll be back, B"H!!

Room Tip: as you know, most rooms in Jerusalem are for two... this hotel serves 4 plus!!

I was so fortunate to have found this hotel in the middle of Jerusalem for an extremely good price. It was clean, comfortable and very convenient. The staff were exceptional. They spent lots of time explaining things to me and helping me navigate my way around Jerusalem. They gave me lots of suggestions of things to do. The bed had a down comforter, great air conditioning, a strong hot shower and plenty of space for me to put my things away. I highly recommend this hotel. It does not have a restaurant or fancy lobby, but right outside the door are numerous cafes. I loved this place!!!!!!!

Room Tip: It is a real find!

A lovely small but stylishly furnished hotel apartment. We stayed in a family room which was small but adequate. Warning: For some reason the wall that separates the twin room from the lounge room does not extend up to the ceiling so the noise from the adults in the evening disturbs the children who would naturally stay in the room. Perhaps it is better to put the adult double bed in there and the twin in the other room. We got by by putting our light sleeper in our room and then transferring her when we went to bed but it was a hassle. Also be warned that the kitchenette features only a small fridge and a kettle and sink. there were some tea and coffee and paper cups but that was all. So if you have kids and intend to cook, forget it. There are no plates, cutlery or even a dishcloth to wash up. However if you have read this then perhaps you could at least plan ahead and bring the necessities to at least give the children some cereal for breakfast.

The location is great with the old town and many lively eateries and shops all within walking distance. It is also close to the tram line. We parked our car for 40 shekels a day. On hindsight we wished we hadn't hired the car from Tel Aviv for the 4 day trip to Jerusalem and surrounds because we never used it. Even when we went for day trips to the dead sea and Bethlehem we just took buses and taxis. So we paid for car hire and parking for nothing. You live and learn!

There are not many hotels that can accommodate young families without booking two rooms that don't usually adjoin and that cost the earth so Hillel 11 was a good find really. We were more than happy with it. And the staff were always helpful.

Excellent location for visiting Jerusalem: just perfect.

Friendly staff, well equipped room, clean.

No breakfast but just around the hotel there are plenty of choices

No parking but the hotel staff suggested us a very close and convenient one (hint: once in front of the hotel, don't turn left but keep straight for 100m, turn right and park at "Jerusalem of Gold", 40 SHK/day).

Minor stuff: small bathroom, lack of a double curtain layer (day/night)

More annoying was the Wifi only in common areas, no signal in the room

We were a group of seven adult travelers and thought that two family suites with two bedrooms and a living room each, would give us enough space. But we did not realize that the bedrooms were very small windowless boxes, not suitable for someone claustrophobic. There was a small living room adjacent and a so-called kitchenette consisting of a tiny fridge and no cooking facilities, not even cutlery or glasses or cups. The only things you get are paper cups and plates. There are no other facilities in the building and probably for the prize you will find hotel rooms with swimming pool elsewhere.
The guys running the place are very friendly and try to arrange things, but you must not come with false expectations.
Location is ok. The old town is in about 15 minutes walking distance. A pedestrian, animated street is close.

The location is perfect. Close to everything, lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
The room is very well designed, new and chic.
The service is pretty good and kind.
The sink in the bathroom was leaking the first day we came, but was fixed after complaining.
We asked to have more cups for coffee, and the receptionist said he will bring it up, and he didn't, only after we asked again.
Stains on the sofa.

Room Tip: We had room 60, on the 6th floor, suits for 4-6 people (we were 3).

Great little hotel! My single room was very small, but cozy and perfect for just one person. Clean, comfortable and modern. The location could not be better -- very close to shops, restaurants, the old city, the market -- and I was able to walk everywhere. The (very good looking) gentlemen at the front desk was so friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. It's a great little hotel and I highly recommend it -- wish I could have stayed longer!
