Sien se sas the reception desk we had doubt to our choice. But we were imediatly rassured by the quality of the personnel and the rooms. The personnel take a long time to present the city, the famous place and restaurants. The rooms are orde red well with a bathroom and a big balcony. The place is closed to the old Town and closed to the new center with bar and restaurant. Very nice for a breakfast in the sun. Last thing we were upgraded without asking

Perfect location and excellent deluxe room. We had the fortune to get the large size corner-room, it couldn´t be better. The beds were of a high class and very comfortable, not so very common. The location is great in the city center, some minutes walk from the old city, the tram just around the corner (Yaffa street), and cafes, restaurants and shoping nearby. The suite we got was beautiful with a lovely kitchen, large size-balcony.

Room Tip: Try to get the xlarge cornerroom with xlsize balcony

We choose this hotel because of its location, good reviews and reasonable price. And it was amazing choice! We had everything what we need. Our apartment had been cleaning every day, room was spacious. The location was the best - we were in the main boulevard with a lot of shops, restaurants and old Jeruzalem was very close. I recommend it to everybody.

Room Tip: We had a room in 2nd floor number 23.

I was very impressed with Shamai Suites as a "place to stay" in the heart of Jerusalem. It is not a hotel in the normal sense in that there are no additional facilities like spa's, restaurants or bars but this is not a problem as there are numerous bars and restaurants within a stone's throw from the suite.

The location is brilliant. It was a 12 minute walk to Jaffa Gate in the old city through the new outdoor mall which made the walk very pleasant. The tram on Jaffa Street is also very useful and takes you all the way to Mount Herzl.

The main market is also a couple of minutes walk away. Prepare to get ripped off if you are a tourist so its worth shopping around before buying.

The room had sufficient cutlery and crockery as well as a microwave and fridge so making meals was a breeze.

The only difficulty we had was in finding the hotel but this was solved very quickly with a phone call to the hotel. They should simply say "entrance next to pizza hut!".

The guys at the desk were always helpful and arranged cabs and sheiruts where necessary.

Some info for getting around...
Cab to the airport cos 250 Shekels. I thought this reasonable.
Cab to Shaare Tzedek hospital was 40 shekels but it was a Saturday and an emergency. Could probably get it for 25.
The tram is brilliant. Very easy and 6.60 shekels. I used this to get to and from the Shaare Tzedek without a problem.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for value for money and location

Room Tip: I was in room 42 which had a balcony out to the street with Pizza Hut. I thought it would be noisy...

I came with my wife for two nights. We enjoyed very much of this hotel. The location is great in the city center, 10 min walk from the old city, 2 min walk from the light train, and surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shoping stors. The suite we got was beautiful with a lovely kitchen, terrace and very comfortable king size bed. We will definitely return to this highly recommended suite hotel.

I was in the place for 8 nights. It is very well located. The first Room I got was 43. It is big, very large bathroom, and the only problem is the noise of the busy Street in front of the hotel. Everything was ok, but the shower, kept falling.

When I came back I asked for a room with less noise, and I got 62. It has a nicer view tan 43 but it is very noisy as well and the bathroom is very very small. So they changed me to room 42. It is an inside room, no nice view but very very quiet room, small, and the bathroom is just ok. However there was no hot wáter and there is nobody after 11pm.

Also the last night there was a cockroach in the bathroom, so this tells me that there is not enough fumigation or pest control in the residence.

Finally there is a very annoying situation: The place lacks "bo not disturb" signs, so, every morning until I made a big issue, the cleaning people kept comming at 9:00 am or even before.

Will I stay there another time... maybe not.

Room Tip: Ask for an inside room if you do not like Street noise
