“I would send them to England to teach how to make fish&chips”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

Listen guys - I am going very often to Fish&chips in the British Isles mainly in Ireland. It was created in UK and was adopted all over the British Empire. But here in the market in Jerusalem I found the most original and tasty fish and chips. In the English world they stick to the same simple boring (still tasty) system and here in Jerusalem it is an invention!!
Go and enjoy the different tastes

“awesome fish and chips”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

We ate here a couple of times, each time the food was delicious! The classic fish and chips gives four huge pieces of fish and a good portion of chips. The tuna was incredible! The market is a fun people watching venue. After your meal wander around and check out the different vendors, mske sure you stop by Halva King for a sample of the coffee halva. Seating can be an issue, but you can sit at any of the tables across from the restaurant.

“Fishen Chips LOL! But the food is nothing to laugh at!”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

Great, lightly breaded fish & chips! Available with chips (of course), over salad, or just fish (same price as with chips, but more fish). Food is fresh, delicious, plentiful, reasonably priced, and the employees are very nice! Look for in the Shuk in Mahane Yehuda area. They have other locales as well.

“Glad we ate here!”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

While in Machneh Yehudah market, we stopped here about 11:00 am. We had not eaten breakfast and decided to share something for brunch. There were four of us. We shared two of the cod and fries baskets. It was sooo good. There was a lot of food. Glad we shared. I wish we had eaten here earlier in our trip so we could have returned. I wish I could duplicate this at home. It was delicious!

“Gives you as expected”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

Far from being a fancy place, in the middle of a big and crowdy (and touristic ) market, you'll find a sort of a restaurant offering you differents sorts of fish and chips. If not London or Dublin this is the place,no doubt.Enjoy every fork of it;I left the place nearly entousiastic (even if the comfort may remind you of Sparta).
