“Very interesting visit and no security problem at all!”
Reviewed February 11, 2014

This is one of the most interesting visits you can do in the Old City. It's quite exciting to go underground and walk on the ancient streets in which Jesus may have walked too. It's a fascinating visit from an archaeological point of view, and also an atmospheric trip. Highly recommended. You will need to book well in advance.

Please disregard those who claim that walking through the Muslim Quarter at the end of the visit is dangerous. The Muslim Quarter is filled with touristic attractions and bustling with tourists, not to mention the number of expatriates who live there. It's perfectly safe unless you're a political activist looking for trouble. Of course, there is always the possibility that - gasp! - some malevolent local might invite you for tea or coffee or - gasp again - say Hi, but what can you do, that's Arab hospitality.

“Very interesting”
Reviewed February 11, 2014

The tour started off a little basic, like a Sunday school lesson. It was definitely slanted towards Jewish people so if you have another faith you may find some things not to you liking. If you have no faith then you will find it great!
Very interesting archeology and the stone work that was uncovered is breathtaking. (I love monolithic architecture and I eat this stuff up!).
You see an ancient water system and stand on the same road that Jesus (or other Bible characters) would have.
You see many devoted Jewish women praying feverishly.
Well worth it.

“fascinating”

archeologists have uncovered remains from walls dating back to Herod and even before that. It is a fascinating tour as the guide explains what they have found, and what you are seeing, putting it all into a historical context.

I never knew there was a tunnel under the "Old City" that ran along the Western Wall. Itbadded valuable oerspective to the original scope of the area.
