Visit the city streets of Old Jerusalem under the Western Wall and where the Temple stood. Walk the same paths the Roman soldiers did and people of the day.

Every time i make it to Jerusalem and enter the tunnel there is the unequivocal sense of urgency and awe! Every year, inch by inch, tap, scrape...More and more revealed, in full view! Workers and specialist deeper and more intricately, giving us the unimaginable privilege of seeing, touching, measuring, understanding...more! The worth of its history, the evidence of its grandness and vast intricacies ARGH!! What a place!

Our party of 3 adults and a child of 9 attended an 8.00pm tour.

The tour was amazing, the tour guide incredibly knowledgable, enthusiastic and engaging.

I was initially concerned given then the number of people who had mentioned that it was claustrophobic, however I was very surprised how light and large the actual space was in all but the very last entrance into the room set the end of the tunnel.

The last time we did this tour was 15 years ago, this time we were visiting with our children and grandchildren (ages 7 & 5).

This unique tour gives the best insight into Jerusalem over the past 2,000 years, with excellent examples of the original Temple walls and subsequent city construction literally on top of what was already there.

Despite their young age our grandchildren came away with an easily understandable explanation of the city's history.

If there is a downside it is the sometimes cramped and humid conditions, however these are easily forgotten once you arrive in a spot that is the closest to the site of the Holy of Holies.

Whilst not essential we'd recommend booking your date and time in advance to ensure you our when you want.

It took a long time and there wasn't any real chance to sit and rest duing the mini-expedition but the guide really knew what he was talking about re the history. The tunnels, stone construction and even the cisterns were incredible.
